Absolutely beautiful to see them get beat like that by Vandy!

The REAL scary part is that if Vandy, Ole’ Miss and Mississippi State all continue to build and strengthen their programs, the SEC will a powerhouse from top to bottom.

And I tell you what…
I wouldn’t want to have to face “The 'Ole Ball Coach” come Monday practice!

Well so far ECU has dominated WV. They did get a cupple of calls but I dont think its made much differance, they have shut down WV offince for the most part. we’ll see what happens in the 2nd hafe.

Yea, they’ve been more physical against WVU so far, that WVU defense is bad, and I don’t mean in a good way

ya but I dont think anyone would have thought WVs O would only have 3 points, but I guess you cant score if you cant get on the field.
(edit) with #25 S.Carolina loosind and ECU beating 2 top ten teams two weeks in a row(it think Tech was in the Top ten) do they have a shoot at that #25 spot?

Tech was #17. ECU has been flirting with the top 25 for the last few years, but I wouldn’t really be surprised if they got a national ranking. It’s no different than someone like Boise St. the last few years.
I’m scared to death of Miami tonight… trap game?
ECU beats West Virginia 24-3.
I would think that they should break AT LEAST the Top 25, and maybe even the Top 20?

Easily, but VT was overrated from the get go.
from what they are saying they might be as high as 12 and the lowest i have heard is18
ECU deserves to be top 15 no questions asked, they’ve beat two top 17 BCS teams(overrated teams? we shall see but ECU dominanted physically in both games).

Thank you. From what I’ve seen, the ACC is dog shit with the possible exception of Wake Forest. SEC is also looking like it has got a few cobwebs in there so far.

This certainly seems to be the case. UMD has looked like a JV team the last two weeks against UDEL and Middle Tennessee State, two teams I would have expected them to readily handle. Instead they barely squeaked by UDEL and lost to Middle Tennessee.
No doubt the ACC is down (I still don’t see how people at my school down here in Clemson think winning the ACC is still worth something, if my team rebounds like two days ago it should win this damn conference by a mile) but hopefully it improves by the end of the year.
The inexperience at Miami cost them the 4th quarter against Florida but they look to be a damn good team in another year. They gave Florida all they could handle for the first 3 quarters until they finally opened it up in the 4th. BTW BlueJ, like that avatar, that is one awesome nasty hit
Damn people, it’s the first or second game of the season. EVERYONE’s going to have cobwebs - it’s not like they’re all seasoned pros just going out for another game!

I dunno. This may be your rose-colored ACC glasses talking. I think that game had more to do with Florida underachieving and less to do with Miami fielding a contender for 3 quarters. I kind of get the impression that Florida often plays at the level of their competition (good or bad).

I hope I’m right but their is no denying that you could be right as well. I guess i’m trying to acknowledge and justify my conference at the same time. But like I said above, I just hope it improves by the end of the year.
Some possibly interesting games on the radar for this weekend
-Kansas at South Florida
-Georgia at South Carolina
-UCLA at BYU
-OSU at USC(obviously the game of the day)
-Wisconsin at Fresno State
I know I am missin a couple but those look to be very interesting games. I’ll be watchin the UGA/Sou Car game after going to the Clemson/NC State game because even though I hate the cocks it should be an interesting game based on the past couple years.
I love college football, but I have been absolutely down the last few years being a Syracuse grad. I’m trying to figure out how the hell we get out of this mess. It’s just an abomination right now. There is no way to justify losing at home to Akron. Akron!!! And now we’ve got to follow that with Penn St coming to the Cuse for the first time in nearly 20 years? Crap.
Well, at least “The Express” opens Friday night. If any of you on here haven’t heard about it, it is the (tragic) story of Ernie Davis, the first black, and only Orangeman, to win the Heisman. It has been showing in sneak previews around the country and has been getting great reviews. I can’t wait to take my family to see it.

Bump.
