Adaptogens are what you should look into for CNS recovery. I used to be really big on all of that. Way before my AAS use I used adaptogens
Still if I am feeling overtrained I add it back in for a week or so and I am back to 100%. I use that method a lot if I am in a phase that is far from a planned deload, or if I can’t afford a deload week right then.
The original daily formula was
3000mg of american ginseng
3000mg siberian ginseng
3000mg korean ginseng
All have different ginsenosides making the blend more effective. I learned about this in a seminar focusing on the use of ginseng to treat inflammatory issues, adrenal, and nervous system fatigue. The difference was phenomenal and I kept searching for more herbs to add to the list. At this point I could handle doing max effort lower body work sunday, speed bench tuesday, speed squats and pulls Wednesday then up to 85% after speed work, max effort bench friday. Felt ready to go each time.
Over time I added other items to the list including
Reishi, shitake, and maitake mushroom complex (forgot the exact dosages, but I used 2-3 times the suggested dose on the bottle)… These are very effective. Started working up to 85% on speed bench day and felt overtrained until I added this to the list.
Shizandra- took the suggested dose, noticed I was feeling even more prepared for each session and was ready to kill weight every time.
Added in tyrosine at 2500mg ED, and an extra 2000mg an hour pre-workout. This was a huge difference and the weights I was able to handle started going up quickly.
Perhaps this was all coincidental, but I used to be really big on this stuff. I still am actually, but it is pretty expensive and AAS are cheaper lol. I was big on 2-3 grams of vitamin C and a decent dose of vitamin E every day as well.

Brilliant post man.
Just when you think you are starting to get good grasp on everything bodybuilding interesting stuff like this pops up. I will look into this.
For now Im just gonna see how hard I can push myself in the gym. Ive always preached high rest low training but Im going against the grain on this. First cycle is a learning experience I guess.
Icechest here is an asshat^^. I’d love to go toe to toe with you in breaking down the CNS infrastructure without you using google.
