Pin 500mg TestE/week
lately, I’ve had some trouble sleeping at night. Will fall fast asleep for maybe an hour- then up for four or five, back to sleep till it’s time to wake up.
Anyone else have this issue- any suggestions? I know I MUST get sleep if I’m to grow to be a big boy
Try a ZMA/Melatonin stack. It works wonders for me, though I’ve never had a particularly hard time sleeping because of test.
Maybe its the extra androgens in your system. You could be overtraining too. That happens when I stress my nerves out to much while lifting. You might need a week off. Benedril and ambien works for me unfortunately most of the sups do nothing.
really? over training will do that to me?
I may try some pills- wife has Ambien CR… we’ll see if it doesn’t level out a bit.
Was going to pick up some ZMA but the store seems to be out- course for 9$ I couldn’t imagine why…
Definatley notice a difference in sleep with AAS. Currently just past the end of week one and current sleep is not all that good. Im waking up way more than necessary at night.
I find that after my body seems to adapt to the extra hormones that sleep becomes better. Also seems that while on I dont seem to require as much sleep.
that’s what i’ve noticed- I’m not as tired feeling as I was when off. don’t need to nap on weekends or feel run down in the aft.
I’d rather wake up early and have a carb and protein-heavy meal about an hour before bedtime than start popping a bunch of pills.
I’m not a fan of compensating a supplement with another supplement and so on.

Absolutely. It happens to a lot of people but they don’t realize it. Every time I get like this, I need to take some time off. Usually every 10 weeks or so. When you get stronger and push more weight its even more prevalent especially if you go to failure all the time. Thats why a lot of good powerlifters don’t train to failure all the time. Lots of Bodybuilders do the same.
The won’t train to failure yet they still get great results. Here’s something else to keep in mind, on gear you push more weight than your used to because of the strength increases, which can be even more of a strain on your nerves.
Try easing up a bit or take some days off if its been a while. Maybe this will work for you. Gear or no gear I don’t sleep well that much so I’ve been taking sleeping pills for several years. Of coarse its best if you can get by with out them but I think its more important to have a good nights sleep.
before I started on my current cycle- I didn’t sleep super great. Started and I slept like a kid… now it’s like I’m back to my “normal” sleep cycle.
Good suggestions Hagar- I’ll have to give them a go and see if I can’t pull out of this sleepless slump.

How much weight have you gained?
I started my cycle sleeping like a baby and only needing about 6 1/2 hours when I usually need 8. I gained 25lbs. starting from about week 6 I have been sleeping like hell. If I lay on either side that arm falls asleep. I am snoring heavily, to the degree that it wakes me up multiple times, especially in the 2 hour period before I am supposed to get up.
Do you have caffeine during the day? Take a stimulant? I was having a single diet coke in the late afternoon and have cut that out and it helps a little, but I think the primary problem is that your body is not used to carrying the new weight, and this will be an adjustment period. I sure as hell hope my sleep cycle goes back to normal. The test has basically not made me irritable at all, but not getting proper sleep makes me one grumpy sumbitch.
Join the club. My sleep sucks when I’m on.
I was having the same issue with Test E recently as well.
The ZMA/Melatonin stack that Diana Bolann mentioned above worked well for me.
I would suggest giving it a try, if all else fails.

I’d say I’m up 10# or so… I’ve noticed the same thing with my arms as well… I also tweaked my right shoulder doing pull overs, so I don’t think that is helping a lot either.
I usually have coffee in the am- say around 6/7am. other than that, it’s water for me.
