I know very little about steroids and am not interested in taking them. On another site I visit (plastic surgery) a woman was asking about taking clenbuteral for weight loss. I cautioned her that it was an illegal steroid and would not be a good idea. This is not someone who works out much or knows a lot about nutrition.
She asked me why and I honestly don’t really know, so I thought maybe someone here could explain it?
Clen isn’t a steroid, and that chick is pretty fat. Unless she gets to a much lower weight without clen, she’d have to be on it permanently not to get fat again anyways.
Clen is illegal even though it’s not a steroid. Well, as illegal as steroids. You’d need a prescription. Clen can be very dangerous if abused. Things that can accompany clen use are spikes in blood pressure, increased heart rate, inability to sleep, etc…It’s a very powerful stimulant. There is some, though not conclusive evidence, that it can lead to permanent heart issues. Regardless, it’s certainly not something a significantly overweight, out-of-shape person who may well have underlying health conditions or be predisposed them should take. Where’d she even hear about it?
wow…tht’s kinda scary. that’s the type of person that gives AAS a bad name…i guess at least she asked first.
i agree with the other posters-she ain’t ready for it, and a lot of people who are actually cut and use it really don’t care for the side effects that much.
clen is similar to ephedrine in the way that it causes fat loss, except ephedrine will work for a longer period of time.
i think you did the right thing by steering her clear, Jillybop…
Clenbuterol is a widely used bronchodilator in many parts of the world…Clen belongs to a group of drugs known as symptomimetics. These drugs affect the sympathetic nervous system in a number of ways…
The compound is…a known thermogenic, (and is) shown to directly stimulate fat cells and accelerate the breakdown of triglycerides to form free fatty acids.
Anabolics 2006 by Bill Llewellyn pp 322-323
It is not produced in the US, but is easily obtainable on the black market.
There is some evidence that clen is anabolic in animals, but the anabolic activity in humans is highly questionable.

Its true clen sort of fizzles out after a good month or so but its fat burning results IMO were always better than ephedrine; not to mention at least for me clen had much less cardiac stimulation than ephedrine
