Chuck Lidell Finally has Abs

well, it looks like Chuck has been training pretty hard: http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/news/242779/Hackleman-Chuck-is-SCARY-ready/

too bad just being cut isn’t an indicator towards fitness…

Too bad those abs aren’t covering his chin.

Holy shit.

Chuck has had well and truly visble abs before, but they’ve always been protruding like a GH gut or a heavy drinker. That’s insane.

yeah, supposedly he’s eased off the booze this time around, which is unlike any other time he’s fought.

Christ how can any professional fighter get away with drinking pre fight/in camp…

Some even smoke!!!

Just ask Saku!

Drinking and Smoking and he still almost beat Ralek Gracie.

But holy smoke i am impressed with his physique

Chucks normal routine was to show up to camp out of shape. Then try to get into shape while still partying and chasing girls and whatnot.

This time he was in shape before camp, so they actually had a fight camp this time. He looks good and healthy for once.

chuck and crew have always “actually had a fight camp” before each fight…they bust their ass up there at the pit, conditioning has not been the missing element in his last 4 fights…i suspect this newfound leaness is either the result of a nutrition coach/advisor, or perhaps chuck is one of the few guys who was competing at a high level and not using performance enhancers, and just discovered their necessity after turning 40

what a stupid post

Lol it’s pretty well known chuck has had a habit of partying during his camp. One fight he was even photographed in vegas drinking a few nights before the fight.

what im saying is that his conditioning has not been the reason he’s lost his last few fights…while putting the work in will obviously help, i seriously doubt chuck is goign to turn into a diego sanchez or clay guida and start pushing the fight into a high pace.

Nobody but you thought he would turn into Diego Sanchez. It was just a sign that he was taking things more serious by not partying and not coming into camp out of shape.

glad that worked out so well for him

you guys are mean =)

Fedor could learn from Liddell’s pre-camp preparation.

I bet he takes an extra plate of dumplings with sour cream right now as we speak, to be sure…

Lol, I once read an interview where he claimed to only eat “fish, meat, chicken and vegetables, no fatty fried foods. No juice, just water”. I called BS.

Oh man that is hilarious. How many times has Chuck got knocked out now?

Maybe he should put some polish around his chin instead of his toes!
