Chuck Fought Pulls 900 (Video)

Front row seat. It’s hard to believe this kid is only 22 years old. WOW! Chuck Fought pulls 900lbs @308 - YouTube

That went up pretty easy, he even had time to celebrate. That’s unreal, the guy looks like he is 30.

That guy has a lot of potential.

You obviously havent seen Chuck in person.

Also, there is already a thread about Chuck’s pull.

Everybody looks old on a max deadlift.

Surely you agree that a pull like that deserves two threads.

That 900 is SO FRIGGING FAST, I’m just shocked he missed 910. Guys like him and Koklyaev who are that explosive that close to their max are amazing, and it’s indicative, I believe, of some serious fast-twitch muscle dominance. Makes me wonder how he’d be as an o-lifter (if he trained for it. not saying he could just jump right in and dominate. lets not start that argument again)

I certainly agree that he could have been good for more. I don’t know how surprising it is that he missed 910 given the circumstance. He pulled 900 (up 25 pounds from his last meet) then went for 910 a couple minutes later. Doing 9 max-ish lifts prior to that 4th attempt isn’t exactly the best way to warm up lol. But that’s how meets work.

Funny you mention o-lifting. I remember a friend joking about the two of them moving on to olympic lifting (because PL obviously isn’t challenging enough for them) winning the gold, and being like Michael Phelps, adored by all…but way cooler and jacked. Joking aside, I wouldn’t be surprised if either of them did well. They’re both damn good strength athletes with bright futures.

WOW. That was fast. The other thing that impressed me is how good his form was, hips stayed low and he never rounded his low back. Two things that almost always happen on a max attempt. Unreal that he is only 22-23?

Anyone know how long he’s been training?
