Chicks Dig 5/3/1

Another one of my regulars, 2x taco bell chicken quesadillas. Which I just had, mainly because I needed an excuse to see how well my traction control handles in virgin snow. We’ve already got about 3 inches in Indy.

510 calories, 27g protein, and plenty of sat fat and cholesterol each. Other than the price, I slightly prefer these to the 2 double cheeseburgers. But the same ballpark.

I REALLY wanted to squat tomorrow cause I hooped last night for 2 and a half hours and my mid/low back is still not 100% from Tuesday but a famale is coming up this weekend and I’m just gonna assume that she’d get pissy if I left mid-saturday to train…potentially bad training session > no session, right?

We have good news and bad news, good: best all around leg day I’ve had in awhile…bad: weighed 213.8, I think I do better on lower body days with not alot of food in my stomach

Those squats are perfect Chobbs, I wouldn’t change a thing, save ATG for front squats, which you should be doing anyway. The depth your getting in the vid is paralle little below, this is what you want your body to lock in on, so every rep looks just like this 1000 times a month or whatever, just lock that form in, than get your extra depth, quad work on the following front squats, or hack squats.

What I’ve seen over the years is guys start monkeying with they’re form, say on different days - one day high bar - one day low bar- one day deep - one day high. It all starts to screw with they’re groove, when it comes time to do a meet or whatever. Find the perfect set-up for back squat, and lock that shit in - where the bar sits on your back, how deep you go. This is a compitetion lift, play with the form on your other lifts. This is what I’ve seen over the years anyway, let the guys that monkey around, high bar squat on Tues. low bar squat on Thurs. 1/4 squats on Sat. haha these are the guys that’ll never get to 315.

When the bar’s on your back it’s a comp. squat period, lock that shit in. I use box squats for my hip and ass work, and front squats for my quad and core work. I’ve gotten my squat back to 500 in 6mths using this method, and everyone I know that squats 500+ does the same thing. You have some perfect form going on, thats awesome, on days when you do your box squatting, play with the hight then, use a high box to handle 120% so you get used to the weight, and your comp squat will follow, and use the front squats to get your volume, and buld muscle.

Take a look at all the best raw squatter’s in the world, they all use the same formula. Sorry to ramble on, and sound agressive, but your on a really good path, and monkeying around with your comp form, will set you back. Personally I think you should park all your other lifts, and take a couple months to get that squat up over 400. Thats my 2cents

Man if I could get my squat to 405…I’d be ecstatic. I’ve always been kinda confused on the whole box squating for raw guys. There’s so many different ways people say you should do it. High bar, low bar, touch and go, paused, sit back and relax, sit back and relax different muscles

Box squat is a whole different movement than squat, it works your hips. I personaly hate the way geared guys train, and it doesn’t have much value for raw guys, but the box squat is different. I’ll explain it in detail on my own log, and explain how I use it for myself, and kids I train. Box squats and front squats to me are the two best movements for a big comp squat. I’ll take the time to break it down somtime in the day or so. Latter Chobbs

FOR ANYONE WHOS BULKING AND HATES RICE OUT OF THE FRIDGE/HAVING TO MICROWAVE IT TWICE
I found these stupid good steak potatoes for 1-2 dollars a bag, I’m sure you can use any potato but they taste great out of the oven or for a second meal remicrowaving them.

  1. Preheat oven to 425
    2.Slice potatoes
  2. Drizzle and/or drown potato in EVOO
  3. Add seasoning…I like garlic salt and pepper
  4. Cook for 25-28 minutes
  5. Tupperware leftovers
  6. Microwave leftovers 2-3 hours later

I live and grew up in Ohio, and I have a serious distaste for their fans, and the team in general.

You would be hard pressed to find an Ohio State and Browns fan, because they are all bandwagon fans that don’t know shit about football, and constantly bitch about everything that doesn’t go their way.

I love the Big Ten, but anyone who honestly thinks they could compete against Auburn, Bama, FSU is ignorant. Part of me actually was hoping they’d make it so they get smacked around a little and it would end up 42-17.
