I have exactly the same problem when I pull sumo for any extended period of time. Left groin always ends up saying no more and I have to switch back to conventional. The good news is it never adversely impacted my numbers when I switched back which should be the case for you as well.
Gentlemen, thank you all. And Crippler stay safe brother…
Squatz - well at 185 I couldn’t reach depth because my groin said not so fast Mister. I switched to a high box, just above parallel that went fine until 295 and same complaint so I cashed out.
Walking DB lunge-yeah right, was able to do them very light and very short stride without touching my knee down…doubt they were beneficial.
even leg ext were useless
decided to just get sexy…
EZ bar preacher curl 4x10
BB curl 21s 3 sets
sulking grey haired bastard sits in the corner and stares at the floor…the best part of the day is over and it sucked…my real dilemma is tomorrow I have sprints with my daughter…Its her off season conditioning and its one of the remaining opportunities I have to spend time with her…she will be a senior this year, get a job and likely move to an apartment in the city so I really don’t want to miss out on the time… I think Ill try and wrap it and see how it goes…Fugg…
self pity now over… I think there are more pressing issues to be concerned of.
Gym
Incline tmill 8 min
foam, stretchy…lots of foam and lots of stretchy
leg curls
Track
1/4 mile walk
1/4 jog
sprints ( actually the English language does not contain the appropriate words to describe what these were) groin sore but held together…all with a rolling start these were probably 50-60%max … so a tree sloth climbing backwards in winter would be moving faster.
5x30yrds, 5x50yrds, 1x70yrds
1/4 mile walk.
we had a special guest appearance by the Evil Empress ( my wife) who manned up ( is that politically correct?) and rocked the program…problem is even at 5:30am my wife is very chatty…could be worse!
CL- yeah, I’m surprised she hasn’t whacked me already!
Strick- Nice part about sprints…they don’t take long…
Crippler- I don’t have to tell you, but enjoy the next 3 weeks because your next post will be “I can’t be believe my son is graduating college”…it truly flys by.
I officially turned Fifty-six today… going to celebrate… yup…going to work!
