Chicken Legs FTW

And for your “bags” question…

It is also known as “Cornhole”. You can see why I call it bags…

I may have missed it during one of my many absences…is the shoulder “issue” just tightness? Or is there actually a malady that you are dealing with?

Skip the malady I deal with is being stupid! The tightness in my shoulder is due to inflammation . the inflammation cause stems back to college when I tore it apart in lacrosse. I was suppose to take 6 weeks off but the college season is really 10 weeks long so I came back after 3 weeks…chalk that up to being young and dumb! combined with poor lifting habits post college and you get what you get! The ball likes to slide forward in the socket because the girdle is loose and that’s when the rubbing and inflammation kick into high gear. occasionally it will actually get stuck for a second… that kinda hurts…

Forever paying for the shortsightedness of youth.
Fingers crossed that it holds together and that the training may actually help strengthen it.

Thanks Skip!

That’s exciting that you’re doing a meet! Which federation? And what’s your weight class? I apologize if you’re repeating information you’ve already given.

First off, Congratulations on your recent meet success! The meet is held by Revolution Powerlifting Syndicate (RPS) , Late2game lifts in it and they had a meet that was close enough travel wise and fit my time schedule. I’ll be lifting in the SHW class…just kidding… 181…I’ll be between 172-175 at meet time. I’ll be the 55-59 Masters ( I think that is Masters 4 ?)raw division. Any and all advice you have and care to share will be appreciated…The meet is Nov 21st.

I will sub-squat for you if they allow pinch squatters like baseball pinch hitters. Hope the shoulder holds up and you have a great meet. Plenty of time to train for you. I think my next meet will be in October or the beginning of November so we’ll be training for competition at the same time.

Nice bench. Why the heavier weight on the last set?
Strong dips as well…

Still ignoring the last things you did.

Skip- it might help if I put my glasses on before typing. the set before was 245 not 145

tmill, foam, stretchy, dislocates

deficit SLDL 3x135, 3x185, 3x225, 3x245, 3x265, 3x275, 3x285, 2x295, 1x305 all double overhand no belt

No Conv DL today according to the plan…but a good solid session for me. the 305 on SLDL is a PR.

Know the rules of the fed. Practice your lifts with the commands and have someone watch to make sure you’re not missing depth or doing some other red-light offense. Those are the biggies. Excited to follow!

I’ve competed in RPS a couple of times. They are well run meets and you will have fun.
