Bench is starting to feel a little better, not where I was or want to be but I feel like its slowly reviving…
Deep tissue yesterday crushed me, but tomorrow i’ll feel better

Bench is starting to feel better? I missed something somewhere. Is this related to the same shoulder issue that is impacting squats?
I need to read up on this deep tissue" stuff that you talk about. I have seen it in other logs. It sounds like an addictive means to sate masochistic urges.[/quote]
No Skip, my shoulder doesn’t bug me on bench ( different angle of rotation). My numbers on bench have sagged over the past 3-4 months. At 225 I was hitting 6 or 7 consistently. Now its 4 or 5. Triples at 245 were solid now they can be an adventure. everything has just felt heavy or heavier than it should…But I think I’m starting back in the right direction.
The deep tissue massage is the dark side of massage! Nothing relaxing , enjoyable or refreshing during the hour…but it helps a day or two later, I feel so much better and going consistently has started to improve shoulder mobility and reduce the inflammation.

I just read up on it. It says not to do anything strenuous afterwards. That sounds concerning…lol. And that the pain and soreness will go away in a day or two. Is that just from the healing of the injuries they cause while “treating” you?
I had a similar think happen to my bench when I was 18. I left high school benching nearly 300# and started college, a few months later, and could do just over 250#. And I had been working out.
I fixed it by not lifting again for 2 years…
