Yeah, go ahead and blast me for it. My first thought, looking at the workout, was that you were training for world’s strongest bellhop.
Not that I am judging…
Great work, as usual.

I’m putting this out there for my own accountability. I swore I would never do this: I’m going to do a meet in Nov up in Nashua NH…well I’ll do the push / pull portion and if I can get my shoulder to cooperate over the next 2 months I’ll squat as well. Hopefully the deep tissue work will free up my shoulder. if I’m making any headway I’ll get some PT work done to spur things along…
A couple of questions: what’s a good singlet to get? I’ll be lifting in the raw ( you ain’t kidding) division. How long will a meet take that if full is capped at 55 lifters ( I presume all day)?
August 1st I’ll start a 16 week program for bench and DL the meet will be 17 weeks away at that point. The squats I’ll need to do on the fly at first…wonder if they would let me Zercher! nah.
Any advice is welcome.

Good for you to do a meet. 55 lifters is not many so the meet, if run well, should not last more than 5 or 6 hours at most. Make it easy on yourself and order an Inzer singlet or a Nike singlet at Rogue Fitness:
Inzer is much less expensive and probably just as good. Hope this helps.

55 lifters beginning at 10am will probably go until around 4 to 5pm.
Personally 16 weeks seems like a long meet prep. I keep mine at 10 weeks and generally it has worked out.
Good luck and have fun with it OG.

Dave, yeah I usually thought meet prep was 6-10 weeks, but I grabbed an article off this site by Matt Kroc and its a 16 week deal with 4 weeks of off time ending in a PR or a meet. SO I figured I’ll run with it because it fits the time window.
Is this going to be your first meet ever? My attention span wouldn’t last 16 weeks.

you gotta ask yourself, t’s 4:01 , there is a scantly clad vixen in bed next to you ( boy I hope my wife doesn’t find out) and you decide to go do cardio and stretch…definitely not the best decision I’ve ever made!
Peace
Looks like the sites I posted have been erased from my post on here. Did you get them before they were deleted? I assume you did get the sites to order the singlet. Glad to see I could be of some assistance. Though I did that 465 lbs for 3 easy squats I was feeling kind of beat up and I should be capable of much more but thanks for noticing.
