Still no comparison. Making art is a worthwhile endeavor. There’s an intrinsic value to art in its final form, as well as the satisfaction of the creative process.
What’s the value (other than entertainment) with playing a virtual game? What does he come away with, or bring to the relationship?
Oh I forgot… bragging rights with his WoW buddies.
Hey, I’m all for unwinding while participating in entertaining activities. I’ve played some virtual games myself, but not to the point where they’ve jeopardized my relationships with loved ones, or the time I could be doing something worthwhile.
Based on the gf’s narration, she’s obviously frustrated with him, and most likely has addressed it at least once with him… for her to react so extreme as she did. And based on his immature reaction, he obviously has a problem.[/quote]
Are you stupid? You’re whole argument is based on YOUR opinion of WoW. I don’t play WoW, but its easy to see how much of a hypocrite you are. Watch what I do here:
- You ask:
“What’s the value (other than entertainment) with playing a virtual game? What does he come away with, or bring to the relationship?”
What is the value of RECREATIONAL art other than entertainment? What the FUCK does (what you consider) recreational art bring to a relationship, other than entertainment? If you are not making a living off of art, you are not bringing ANYTHING to the relationship other than entertainment.
But wait, wait, painting can be an activity that both couples partake in, bonding with each other and strengthening the relationship!
So can WoW…they can play together.
But, but - art is something that the man can do to impress the women!
So can WoW…the woman can admire his characters.
- Watch me use your own quote and insert Wow instead, making a perfectly valid statement.
“Playing WoW is a worthwhile endeavor. There’s an intrinsic value to WoW in its final form, as well as the satisfaction of the creative process.”
Wouldn’t a WoW player be satisfied with his character “in its final form”, after training it for many months? Wouldn’t a WoW player be satisfied with training his character day by day, leveling up, and creating a more powerful character (what you call “creative process”)?
Don’t you see? WoW is an art form, too. Art is defined as “the process or product of deliberately arranging elements in a way to affect the senses or emotions.” WoW players invest countless amounts of time into CREATING their characters. Into “sculpting” their characters, if you will. You see, if I use terms you’re familiar with, you begin to understand how futile your stance is.
As an aside, its pretty sad that you call the guy in the video a “little fuck”. You know absolutely nothing about the situation, in fact you are completely IGNORANT to his side of the story. As others have said, for all we know he plays 2 hours a day and his girlfriend is a huge attention craving whore who gets a sadistic pleasure out going on power trips (ie screwing up his WoW accounts). I mean honestly dude, its painfully obvious how biased you were from the beginning.
I see people like you all the freaking time, trying to be fucking “white knights”. Oooh oooh he needs to pay her more attention oooh oooh she should dump his ass too! etc etc. Please shut the fuck up you pussy whipped bitch.
