I see you’re in Illinois, have you ever been to a place called EAC (Evanston Athletic Club)? I swear I saw you or your twin there lol.
That was me boss; I was there a few months during the summer!
I knew it! So where do you train now? I’m tired of the lack of equipment at EAC and the L.A. Fitness around the corner is full of douches. I gotta find a decent gym but have no idea where to look.
Mostly the studio that I work at, it’s in Northbrook right off of Willow.
The map is on my website: www.borafitness.com
It’s dead in the afternoon when I train, awesome to have the place to myself!
Placed 2nd in Middleweight over the weekend, great show and an awesome experience! Unfortunately the zoom on my friend’s camera sucks, the shots from the show aren’t too hot–here’s a few shots of us afterwards cheesing with our trophies:
Next weekend my client’s coming out to the OCB show with a baller camera set up!

Ever think about the Northwestern facilities? I’m always in Patten Gym, on the corner of Lincoln and Sheridan. The weight rooms are in the basement and it’s a really good environment for a serious lifter. Yes, we do get our share of frat douches in there, but a lot of the football/rugby/powerlifting guys are in there as well.

Hey thanks for the reply – that sounds like it would be a lot of fun to come check out!
Lookin’ solid. I laughed when the judges quickly grabbed their top 2 and just went to work. It seems like the lighting wasn’t exactly great at the venue. That aside, what tanning products did you use? very pale up there big man! -lol (I’ve been ‘that guy’ before)
Gotta be a good feeling though, Seriously big trophy too!
So now, the important question…what was the post-contest meal?!

Yeah, I had a big smile when I got called to center stage!
I had a friend’s friend tan me-BIG mistake-she said she had worked with bodybuilders in the past. I got sprayed Thursday and Friday and was pale as hell under the stagelight, I’m going to have the professionals at the venue do it this weekend!
I made a B-line for my backback and immediately had four peanut butter cookies, some snickers, a piece of ice-cream cake, and then it was off for DEEP DISH pizza (buck that lightweight NY shiz!) – put down a variety of appetizers, three slices, and a cold one.
