I have always done this with my hands holding the arms of them machine and my arms way out. But I seen a video where the guy was doing the flys with machine arms between the bicep and forearm. I decided to give it a try and to me it feels like it isolates my chest even more. Have any of you tried this method before of not? I know what works for one person might now work as well for another person. But though it was worth a share
I’ve seen these machines with various handles, forearm pads, you name it. What I’ve noticed is that if you’re someone who has a natural tendency to use your arm muscles more easily (just from everyday activities since childhood) than recruiting your pecs, then taking the hand squeezing issues out of the equation can be a surprisingly significant help in feeling your chest do the work.

My old gym had this awesome chest fly machine that had big thick handles that went up into your armpit, then you brought them down and in.
Best chest machine I’ve ever used but they got rid of it. I wept for days.
I am one of them guys that tend to use my arms more. even on my back days when I’m doing the rolls or pulls. I tend to feel it in my tri’s and shoulders. one thing I need to learn is to isolate my wings. I can’t seem to push them enough
