Was wondering if its okay to workout chest and shoulders day 1 then day 3 back and shoulders? is this okay? or would this lead to overtraining?
Sounds pretty dumb to me. Shoulders (other than lateral work,) with one day in a split should get hit enough through chest + back exercises.
Why not just take one entire day for shoulders?

well I use to have day for shoulders only but it sounds silly to me to just have a day for just delts and traps if they get hit anyway on back and chest why not add 3-4 of them on a chest and back day? however, I never tried this before im making a new routine and not sure if im gonna overtrain doing this new routine.
No don’t do it! You will overtrain yourself before day 4! Maybe day 5 if you have the genetics. I did this before and died.
Literally, I’m dead.
Since I’m a scary ghost, you could try it and if it works for you then more power to you. Or try a separate day if it doesn’t work so well. A separate day for shoulders is the usual tho.
Or P90X. It goes up to day 90
Why don’t you just try it and see how your body responds then adjust accordingly? Maybe it will work for you, maybe it wont.
I would just say dont do it
