hi mind, thanks for the feedback. i thought i’d enlighten you as to where i’m coming from so you don’t continue to make assumptions. just so you know, i purchase Biotest supplements just like any other reader on here, when i need them and when i’ve got the cash for them. i’ve even referred countless people to this site and recommended Biotest supplements that i have had good experiences with. that’s what TC and Tim asked for from the start. but you know what, that doesn’t matter and that’s not the point. i am forever thankful to TC and the rest of the editors and contributors to this site and i have written telling them that.

the reason i pulled the mission statement is because i have personally been editted three times (was twice, but read on) on this very thread for bringing up valid points and constructive criticism. i even had to add this line as my own personal edit because part of an earlier post of mine in this thread that actually made it past the moderators about censorship just got editted today apparently. the only time my posts get “lost” or “editted” is when they have anything critical posted about the runnings of the site or Biotest supplements. this happens more than you know. this forum is not as objective as you would like to think. this site has affected so many people in so many positive ways that it’s mind numbing. several of us readers see some problems, and we want to keep this place awesome. it has nothing to do with being “ingrateful”.

Yeah, I vote to bring it back and do away with the regular forums. :slight_smile: I don’t have a lot of time to read forums, let alone post, but the TTD’s were always worth checking out mainly because you could trust the reliability of the sources the information was coming from.

It can provide insight into interesting topics that may be too small for a whole article. It also acts as a great way to see opposing view points that usually don’t come out in an article authored by an individual.

Is it possible it didn’t see as many hits partly because it wasn’t posted to as much as a regular thread would be? There are some threads I visit over and over again throughout one day, because some one is posting every 5 or ten minutes. The TTDs weren’t posted to as often, so there wasn’t a need to check back quite so frequently.

This is just an idea I had. Maybe I have no clue what I’m talking about.

I thought the TTD were great. A lot of new people are coming thru here and I think that the TTD were a perfect summation of the various theories by the writers of T-Nation.

You guys have to keep in mind that our mods are just regular joes trying to do the best they can in a difficult job (it may not seem difficult, but believe me, it is).

You also have to realize that neither Tim nor I have the time to be consulted on whether a post, for whatever reason, needs to be edited. It does happen, but when you’ve gotten as big as we have, we’re in a constant battle with “trolls” from other sites/companies who try to post off-the-wall negative stuff about Biotest.

Do any of you remember the Corona beer scandal a few years back? Someone, somewhere, started a rumor that disgruntled workers were peeing in Corona beer. The rumor spread rapidly and it took Corona a long time to recover.

As such, the mods may be a little gun shy. Maybe they’re freaked out about posting messages that say their boss or bosses are shit heads.

However, I’m looking into this allegation right now, and if it’s as prevalent as what Boondoc says it is, I’ll make some changes in policy.

If any others have been censored, please don’t bother to cite the instances. Like I said, I’m looking into it.

I would like to see the TTD’s return as well, but I honestly think 20 votes is a little weak. I mean, TC called the section unpopular with “only” 2000 or so views per thread.

I think a much larger number of yes votes should be necessary to fight for the TTD’s to return. I’m not saying this to discourage their return, either. I loved the feature. To paraphrase Jim Rome: “More of the host and less of the listener is always better.” But, if they were unpopular, well, then they were just unpopular.

I vote to bring back the TTD back. I’m not a regular forum poster and rarely spend a significant time reading it. Why watch the kids in the bush-league try to hone their skills, when I can flip the channel (TTD) and see the pros do it better? Thats what I liked about the TTD, unlike the traditional forum, these guys put their ass on the line and there is accountability to every post, unlike the regular forum poster who has a catchy but fake name (myself included)offers lots of opinions and little responsiblity beyond pressing ‘submit’. I think that the TTD served a real purpose. Quality of info, should count for something over popular threads like ‘the best ass ever’ thread. that’s all in good fun, not dissing it, i’m just saying thats not the reason i log on to this site every day.

I would like to see the Think Tank brought back. Does something like that really matter if it gets as many hits as the other articles do anyway? It’s fun to read for those that enjoy it. If your worried about taking up to much space on your server, though I enjoy all the stuff, you can get rid of the reader tips and the strong words that you save in the archives. The T-Gallery also probably takes up a lot of space even if the graphics are cool people can save them then after a week remove them. If they missed one I’m sure a reader can send them one.

Whatever though I’m happy with everything this site has to offer and it’s all FREE! I think everyone should be grateful that there is such a site as this one and not complain so much.
