Check It Out/Think Tank Dialogs

mindeffer01,

It was “shitty and ungrateful” to remind them what they say they stand for? Explain why this should be an issue?

TC, Tim, Chris…hell any of you guys that will listen…

I wish you guys would write MORE, have MORE articles haha. There isn’t anything other than that. This place is perfect…

ANY complaint is just being fucking ungrateful.

They have earned the right to put their ad’s on the front page. You have World Class information at your fingertips in a well organized searchable manner. Not to mention the BEST supplements at a cheap ass price. 23 bucks for badass protien blends is cheaper than everything except soy.

Man I read every TTD 3-4x, I wish I had save them now those were GREAT resources.

Lets start being grateful and absorb the knowledge that you have here. If you think its an overload- shit you can choose on your options to take certain stuff off!

WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT???

The part of the Mission Statement most relevant:

"We are really excited about our supplements, but despite our strong urge to do so, we’re not going to go overboard here praising our products ? you get bombarded enough from other supplement manufacturers. We’ll reserve most of our accolades for the Biotest site. All we ask is that you visit the Online Store and take a look for yourself. "

I don’t care if the whole front page of this site is one big advertisement for Biotest products. After Biotest cut out the middle man their prices are unbeatable.

I hope as many people as possible buy Biotest products to keep this site going and the supplements affordable.

This site is loaded with the most cutting edge information and supplements. So in my opinion the T-Nation homepage being too “busy” is’t much of a complaint. I like not being able to get through all the content of this site in one visit.

This site is much more interesting since the days of just the weekly Friday updates.

Berner,
It is an issue because B.H. calls for a gut check then quotes the mission statement, as though he were somehow catching the publishers with their own words. This implies that they have somehow deviated from or compromised their mission statement, when in fact they haven’t.Can you answer the questions that I posed to B.H. with a yes? Just as importantly, can you clearly demonstrate where any deviation has occured?
The ingratitude and shittiness seem prety obvious to me.

you’re a moron.

Our quest to improve the site is neverending. We are cognizant of pixel overload. That’s why we got rid of the Think Tank.

We’re looking at eliminating other features as well as adding others.

However, this Think Tank uproar caught us by surprise. I was the one who intially orignated and championed the whole thing, but I had to eat dirt when it didn’t really take off.

However, with all the complaints, I’m reminded of one my beloved doggies who, when given a new toy, doesn’t play with it, but, when I take it away, he gets mad and pees on my leg.

Please don’t pee on my leg.

I’ll tell you what, if 20 of you tell me (on this thread) that you want to bring it back, I’ll stick my neck out once more and bring it up with Tim.

I’m in.

I was gone for a couple of days and unable to even read the last thread that was placed in there.

[EDIT] Just noticed the link working again in the first post.

I thought it was a great idea even though not all of the topics interested me. If Tim says “No” to resurrecting it, can the old threads be archived?

How many hits would it take to be considered successful?

Sure, I’d like to see it back.

I’m in.

Maybe T-Nation is having a bit of an identity crisis?

Hmm, to be clear, this isn’t a criticism of the staff or of Biotest or anything like that.

However, the place is growing, a lot of new people are finding the site, and a lot of different attitudes and purposes are present.

TC I would love to see the return of the think tank dialogues; you can never have too much info.

I thought they were a great idea, and support bringing them back. Heck, it’s not like they cost anything, and if they bother people at the top of the page, just lower them a little bit.

Oh, and let us ask questions… like how to gain 80 lbs of rox0rz muZcle!

Bring it back.

I’d like to see it back.

I’d love to see it back.

Some of you people must drink a lot of kool aid.

Bring it back. I read it before and I’d read it again.

I vote to bring it back.

I would like to continue reading the TTD.

Bring it back-it was not the most exciting thing on the site, but is was my favorite. I liked the comment about those that buy core supplements and like to take good info seriously. I will bet that even though the hits were lower-those were your “biggest” supporters. I like humour and TnA as much as anyone else, but what keeps me coming back is the info and author dialogue that I cannot find anywhere else.

Something else I really appreciated was the condensing of all the articles by author. The search is not the easiest thing to find articles with, but I always know who the author was. Great addition!
