Found out an old teammate is moving back from Florida next summer. He was a founding member of 22nd Street Barbell. Had to catch him after going lights on a PR deadlift at the last meet he did in Iowa. Also, a friend and his fiancée are moving from Iowa City to Des Moines. They’ll be with 22BB too. He’s a top 10 148# and pretty sure his fiancée is nationally ranked as well. Too lazy to check powerlifting watch. The hits just keep on a comin’.

Was to DL Tuesday. Tonite was to be OHP. Last night was wife’s co-worker retirement part at a sushi house. At least I got to gorge. In the last week I’ve written papers on Hinduism and Shinto. Will take Shinto test tomorrow night. Will be very happy when my wife’s theology class is over. Five more weeks of this.

oh hell no. trying to help my wife get her BSN. religion and politics are two things I will never discuss on a public forum. I will say that quite a few of them are pretty f’d up.

Kyle Keough and his fiancé Janis Finkelman are now members and teammates of 22nd Street Barbell. They are both great people and great lifters. They are a welcomed addition. My wife and I took them out for dinner last night after helping them move in. All four of us were wearing PL meet T-shirts. We got a couple looks from the locals.

Nice work as always. Did you go to the meet where Beau Moore did I think a 545 lbs bench? Looked impressive over on PW. Haven’t lifted with him in a few years but he’s still strong as an ox.
