Should be a good time. The knuckleheads from P-Town BBell are coming down. They’re a pretty fun crew. Jeff A and Marshall J are looking very strong. Franz gym will be there. Some BigIron guys are coming over. Hell, there’s strong guys all over the place in this meet. Testosterone run amok.

Taking the family up so we can have a half-assed vaca at the waterpark. They’ll swim and I’ll eat.

Can only imagine the look of trepidation when we, as a team, walk into IHOP to begin the re-feed after weigh-ins. We’ll probably be asked to leave at Hu-Hot.

weighed in 216. 220 mm2 A-D (age 49)

sq 350, 376?, 402. got all 3. meet PR

be 245, 259 good, 275 stapled. dammit.
let my handler/teammate call the weight on the last attempt.

dl 365, 385, 408. got all 3. meet PR.

8/9 on lifts. total 1069. this is 66# higher than the 1003 total in July.

if your butt wasn’t on the floor you were gettting red light on squats.

think I had more in squat and DL. will keep plugging away on bench. I hate benching.

fun meet. strong lifters. Franz gym, P-Town BB, Jakked, Carpenter PL, Anvil, Big Iron, us (22nd St BB).

Anticipating next meet to be July 2012.

fyi to load videos you should just be able to upload via the ‘go advanced’ opeiton

Last attempt deadlift @ 408. My 12 yr old daughter had the video camera. That’s her humming along to the song.

Squat attempt, not sure if it’s 1st, 2nd, or 3rd attempt. Made 402 on 3rd attempt.

One of my squat attempts.

Great job on your meet.

nice work.

Great job, Hoss. Look forward to seeing what you do in July. You are putting things together rather nicely. Bigger numbers will fall in July for sure!

Congratulations, Hawkman, great going at your meet.

Back in gym. Surprisingly not sore or beat up. Couple teammates trying to convince me to do nationals in March or April.

Squats (just did 3s)

1x3 250
1x3 285
1x3 320

We’re going to work Westside into my programming to hopefully bring up my woeful bench. Been making gains on Sq & DL under Wendler’s 5/3/1 for PL.

Finally got my wife’s camera loaded on to the computer. Here’s some of our crew and trainig partners that competed in Dubuque on 11/19/11. I’m the old guy on the left.

Here’s more of the crew at 22nd St Barbell that competed at the Iowa State Fair (push/pull) over the summer. I’m the old fart, back row, far right.

Nice looking guys. I can just feel the testosterone in the air.

hey saw that pic in pll usa…

Haven’t seen it. Was told it was near Nick Weite’s article about his uncle. Thise of us that did the UPA meet in July didn’t lift. We pretty much handled anyone and everyone. It was fun to give something back.

Oddly enough, Nick and our ringleader, Wes Keith, are childhood friends. Nick pops in to lift with us when he’s in town. Nick’s brother Jason has been with us the last 2-3 months.
