I was happy with my results. The scale did not move for me, however; inches melted off. Losing inches is always a good sign. I fit into a pair of jeans I haven’t worn in awhile, which was nice. I am having my cheat day on Saturday which made yesterday my weigh in and today my first day of week two and let me tell you…1/2 cup of raspberries and 1/2 cup of blueberries in my shake was DIVINE!
How about you…how did it go for you, you didn’t say.
I officially weigh-in tomorrow morning but my other weigh-ins don’t show too much of a change as to what I was before the initial cheat. However, this is great since it does appear that I have lost about 1/2 in. off of my waist so far.

Damn, that must’ve been nice! I’m going to the store shortly to pick up some grapes, oranges, and apples.
I’m down ~8lbs from my Monday weigh-in, and .75" off the waist. Not too bad. I’m not terribly concerned about the scale weight, even in the end, but I would like to see a 3-4" loss.
For those of you saying the scale hasn’t moved much don’t lose hope, I doubt the intention of this diet was to drop a lot of weight right away. Some people just respond differently to restricting certain types of food (how’s that for vague?).
Measurements this AM showed a 7 lbs weight loss, 3/4" off waist and a BF decrease of 0.5%. Not bad for one week. I’ll be interested to see how much water i’ll gain back with the addition of some carbs.
Great job so far everyone. We have dealt with alot during this past week. For me, my energy levels have decrease 10 fold & my mind has been extremly clouded. Well today is the last day of the toughest week. We did it, YA!!! The next 7 weeks will not be nearly as hard as this past one has. I can’t wait till tomorrow, so I can have some Oatmeal & mixed berries (never thought I would be so anxious to eat Oatmeal). Keep up the great work everyone, & with out further delay here are my results so far.
Results from my weigh in this morning:
Body Weight Change: 192.5 - 177 = 15.5 lb. change.
Waist: 35.25 - 33.75 = 1.5 in. change

Jesus christ good job! At 6’-0" tall do you really have much weight left to lose? You may not even need to stick it out the entire duration (which is more than 7 weeks by the way).
Also, I bet you won’t gain too much back as water if you’ve been drinking plenty this week. It would be interesting to see. Keep us posted.

Confused on your cheat day schedule… But ok…
Anyhow, my results were better than expected. -10lbs, and -2% BF decrease, and -1" in the waist.
Looking forward to kicking off Week 2 tomorrow. I’m also starting my weight training this week as well
Feeling like absolute, 100% crap. Horrible workouts, tired but fitful sleep after 4:30am-ish, major cravings for all kinds of stuff.
I sure hope things improve after this week…while I look leaner, I’m suffering. Seems like you’re all in the same boat as me-- eagerly awaiting that bowl of oats in the morning. I’ll drift off to sleep tonight dreaming of fruit.

Not confused about my schedule…what I did was arrange that my cheat day would fall on Saturday. This means instead of starting the diet on Monday, I started on Sunday. I am quite aware of the timing.
Dropped 5 lbs. and 3.25 percent bodyfat after Week 1. Normally I would call BS on these stats; however, part of this is due to being on a long layoff after being in previously stellar shape.
Curiously, I only dropped 1/4 inch off my waist; however, I won’t complain when I netted 7 lbs. of fat and 2 lbs. of LBM.
I had to check, because those numbers are so through-the-roof, and with the numbers you gave it equals out to a 7.5 pound lean mass loss. This cant be right…I hope it’s not!
Keep us posted.

Watts is right. How did you measure b.f.? I can’t think anyone would lose 7 lbs. of lean on even the worst of diets in one week. Only way this could be is if you dropped a ton of water.
My guess, is that the majority of the weight lost during week 1 is water. Even if you drink a lot of water, the decreased muscle and liver glycogen in your body (due to low carbs) lowers the body’s ability to hold/store water.
I certainly hope that is the case. My numbers show I lost around 2 lbs of fat and 5 lbs of LBM, which I’m hoping is all water loss and not muscle. We’ll see what happens here as week 2 begins.
BTW the oatmeal with raspberries this AM was excellent.
