During my workout I drink a shake that consists of 30g of protein and 50g of maltodextrine, so I guess that doesnt place me in a too catabolic state for cardio post-workout.
You might be alright. I agree it might be tough at the beginning of the week though. Give it a shot- you never know.
Has anyone heard from Joel? I know he said he was going to be out of town, but I thought he was supposed to get back on the 7th. My wife and I emailed him some questions Monday and haven’t heard back from him.
If you have specific questions, please use the subject “CD Tester - question” or similar. Don’t include questions with your results (include them in a separate email). This will allow me to give priority to those emails and answer your questions immediately. With the volume of people I am dealing with, I sometimes may not get through all the weekly result emails until mid-week.
That said, please resend any questions under a different subject and I will be sure to respond to you promptly.
Has the thread died? I am interested in hearing how people have been doing over the last few weeks.
My progress has been limited due to travel and work. I haven’t been able to get in all the workout sessions on the days I would have liked. In other words things have been less than optimal, but that life i guess. This week I should be back on track with strict adherence, I’m anxious to see how it plays out.
So far down about 8 lbs, 2% BF and abour 2.5 inches
I’m finding the normal phase by far the easiest eating plan I’ve ever done. I’m using FitDay to keep track of my intake and it’s a huge help. Not been much to say, other than that this is a fantastic diet plan.
Down 9 pounds, about 2" off my waist (but that’s not where most of my fat was to begin with…), lots more definition and even a bit of vascularity coming in when I’m working out or after higher carb meals.
What are you guys going to do diet-wise after the test period is over? Stay on? Slowly work back up to maintenance? Bulk? I’m wondering if I can incorporate certain principles from this diet into a phase where I can add some LBM.

I’m down 10 lbs and 1.75 inches off the waist. Right now, I think I will stay on it a few more weeks to get more off the waist.
After that, I may go and just add a bit more protein while keeping the carb levels about the same to see if it will work to add some muscle. I’ll try that for a bit and then maybe up some of the other parameters.
Most likely, I’ll communicate with Joel about the idea and see if he has any ideas or if he would like me to give him some data on that.
It is a great diet and one of the easiest I’ve done outside of the velocity diet.

I hope you mean easy in the sense that you just drink your shakes every day and don’t have to worry about other food. I did the V-diet for a week and it kicked my ass. I’ll never do it again. Then again, I didn’t have THAT much weight to lose, so maybe it was a bit severe of a diet for me at the time

I meant in that the guidlines were simple. Drink shakes.
I think the guidlines for this diet are simple and you get to really enjoy that seventh day.
OK week, down 1,5lbs and 0,5" on my
waist but I gained the week before so I’m exactly the same weight now as I was two weeks ago!! and 0,75" smaller waist!!
I didn’t get chance to measure last week so it has been two weeks since i last did so. But, measures this morning totally surprised me.
Down 3 lbs, 1.4% BF, and waist up 0.25" I love this diet. So far down 11 lbs, 3% and 2" total
For me to have results like this over the last 2 weeks and not really even feel like I am dieting is truely amazing.

So anyone still going strong on this program>?
Going strong…reached a plateau… Made some alterations, tightened up the portion sizes, increased cardio and added chad’s booster shots. Also changed days of full body workouts and eliminated the full day of cheating. Cheating only on on what I have been already eating during the week. Just not measuring the portions strickly.
