ChatGPT Writes a Workout Plan

In another topic, we were discussing AI-written diet plans, so I thought it might be fun to get ChatGTP to write a workout plan. It took it about 5 seconds to come up with this.

What do you think? :robot:

I would change some things but, better than most of the programs people try to make for themselves.

Mike Mentzor would hate it.

I honestly think it looks great for a base plan, especially with the limited context in the prompt. Muscle & Fitness approved!

Ya’ll have some AMAZING faith in your coordination/balance in your ability to knock out 3 sets of lunges AFTER 4 sets of squats, 3 sets of leg presses and 3 sets of Romanian deadlifts.

I know I’d look like Bambi on the ice at that point. That was one of the worst parts of Deep Water: trying to do those lunges after those damn squats.

I’d also put deadlifts at the end of back and biceps day, rather than the start, once again knowing that, once I’m done with deadlifts: I’m DONE.

Also weird to me to start the week with chest and end with shoulders: start with press and end with press. Meanwhile, your hip hinging happens very close together (day 2 and 4). I feel like it’d make more sense to swap that around.

What about joint stress?

I heard dumbbells cause your testicles to fall off?

Can I do cross fit on the off days?

My elbows would be screaming after day 1.

If you get creative with prompts it will put out decent routines and explanations.

Specify requests like load percentages, utilizing known strategies (progressive overload, conjugate et cetera), full body vs various splits et cetera. If you give a little direction it will scour the internet for you, with a goal in “mind”.

60 to 90 seconds between sets? Oh

You guys are awfully picky about a base hypertrophy plan for a 35yo man!

Is that what happened to Anne Andres?

That’s why you leave them on the dresser at home before working out.

What, no direct serratus work… what a joke!

The Big Question: How many “influencers” are already selling “custom” diet plans to people using ChatGPT?

How about asking chatpt for an Arthur Jones or Ell Darden “Metabolic Conditioning Workout” just to see if it would be exactly dentical to the workout they would actually prescribe

Looks like a workout from the early magazines of the 80s and 90s

Not even robots can understand pre exhaust!

I’d say the majority… if not now. Soon.
