Charlie Francis books

For those who have read both of Charlies books, “Training for speed” and “The Charlie Francis training system”…which one would be a better read for someone already well versed in some aspects of training??

I have Training for Speed and Speed Trap. Does anyone know the contents of The Charlie Francis Training System and where do I purchase it? I liked Training for Speed. It is organized in a question/answer format. Thanks for any info.

They are the same book by two different titles. I already had the charlie francis training system and ordered the other from amazon to find out it was the same book.

Thanks Brach for saving me time and $.

Kelly, I wasn’t able to get a copy of “Training for Speed” in time for the interview, but I, too, have been told it’s about the same book as “The CF Training System.” I’ll ask Charlie the next time I talk to him and see what’s up.

Hey guys, I recently placed an order for “Training for Speed” by Charlie Francis. It’s a special order from Amazon so it will probably be a few more weeks before I get it.

I’m looking forward to reading Charlie’s thoughts on training. I was also interested in the “Charlie Francis Training System” and didn’t know it was the same book! I was going to try to find it and buy it, but I guess I should save my money.

Has anyone found any other places to purchase Charlie’s books? I’ve searched all the major book stores (Borders, Barnes&Noble, Books-a-million, etc.) and only Amazon had anything by Charlie.

I’m also looking forward to the interview with Charlie! When is that bad boy going to be posted?

Yes, I just got off the phone with Charlie and he said “Training for Speed” and “The CF Training System” were nearly identical.

Nate, the interview was posted this past Friday (issue #123). It’s titled “Rocket Scientist”.

I’ve read both his books and found them to be quite informative. I’ve heard that Charlies recommendations in Training for Speed has been generalized to a degree to make it more reader friendly though. Regardless, it is a great book.

Chris, thanks for the update! I hadn’t had a chance to go through all the articles in the recent edition of T-mag. And I may have missed the article entirely if you hadn’t told me it was titled “Rocket Scientist.”

Thanks!
