(Charles) EDT/Arms...and what?

After reading last weeks specialization article by Tony Meazel I understand that in order for the prioritized bodypart to reap the full benefits of the program one must cut the volume and intensity down for the other bodyparts. Based on this could you put together a routine for M and F (or any other combination of days) that would be good to use along with the EDT arms series in todays issue? Thank you in advance.

Bump

Ok since nobody finds this as interesting as me let me present my idea and then you guys can see if you agree or disagree. What if I only used EDT style training for arms (on Mon and Thurs)and then on say Tuesday did a 5x5 routine (short of faliure) with squats and military and then on Friday did 5x5 with bench and rows. This would be lower volume and intensity for other bodyparts and would allow me to really hit the arms EDT style. Comments? Suggestions? Thanks!

Give it a go! My assumption is that you’re other body parts are up to speed and you just need specialization in the ole arms. Is that right? If so then great. You are definitely going to suffer on your other lifts because of EDT. I’d up the nutrition to aid in recovery not to mention maybe some supplementation. I definitely wouldn’t do this for more than 3-4 weeks. I would guess it’d be a change from the norm. WORD OF CAUTION: If your other parts aren’t up to standards please forego this path and get the rest up to parr. Nothing looks funnier than the light bulbs in the gym, all upper body no legs…

Thank you, and yes I agree that toothpick legs look rediculous. I have lagging arms so I would like to bring them up to pace with the rest of my body. My legs are one of my strong points (always have been).
