If you live in or around the DC metro area and have nothing to do 25 Sept come on down to Dulles airport and watch me and 24 of my nearest and dearest friends pull a 757 for charity. We will go up against 60+ teams for time. A benifit for the Special Olympics Charity VA chapter.
That’s pretty much awesome
Yeah, what Biglifter said!
Will any of the Special Olympics kids be participating?

At the start every year. They have there own team that gives it a shot before the event begins.
Started donating and volunteering out in Hawaii. Great Charity. Truly athletes taking what they got and giving there all.
This is from what I understand started in VA and now many states have a plane pull contest every year. This will be Dulles Airports 18th…(I think). And my second sponsorship of a team.
If you have a website for sponsorship, lemme know. Biglifter’s gym is always up for a good cause
- Plane Pulls
- Special Olympics
- Starving Artists
- Etc.
Four60, I didn’t make it out last year and for that I apologize. Do you need any more guys on your team? I have 2-3 lifters I am sure would be interested…
2 of us have pulled a fire truck by ourselves
ahhhhhhhhh man you missed it last year there were 64+ teams, we came in the top 10 around 7th I think. T
Chessapeake Sherrifs took it, but there average member was around 275lbs and weight makes a dif when your pulling a 757 hahahah…
I will check I’m down to the last 2 guys for the team but as always one might not be able to make it.

If you want I’ll let you know def by the monday. Since I’m going to make the final list on that day.
team name Silverback Gorillas

This is the Event I wanted to do with the pull last year. But failed at pulling it off. I had teams lined up and everything except…the military Humvee. I just did not plan far enough ahead of time.
If anyone wants to try to do this as a charity event its really fun 2 or 4 man teams pull it for about 25, 30, maybe 40yrds for time.
Is that AT the plane pull too?
It would have been last year. I had everything the rope, the people even had the event ok it and add it to there insurance waiver forms. But my contact for the humvee was called and I didn’t have enough time to get the ok for another one.
Mannnnnnnnnnn. I’ll get it up one day.
I did the plane pull some years ago. Good times! Definitely something which gets people’s attention when you talk about it.
Ok. I may be down to 1-2 guys. My boy just broke his radius bone doing axle C&P.
Let me know! I already got a few paying spectators lined up and can help raise that moneys!!!

Coolness four60! A great cause, a great effort by all! Glad to know you are participating ![]()
Bump! Any update? Need 1 more? When does your team go- I’ll introduce myself
Sounds interesting but I’ll be playing kickball/getting wastered at that time.
We have the team set, and I even have a couple of alternates (for the first time). Stop on by brother. It would be nice to finish in the top 5 this year we are pulling 40 at around 2pm. We are going to OWN THAT EFFN PLANE. HAHAHAHAHA
Big thanks to BIGNATEDAWG, you jumped in and helped the Silverbacks pull a 7.6 second time. Could not have done it without ya. Big Ups brother.
