If we all accept that we all have different goals what are the arguments about?

Like talking to a brick wall…
Plenty of people can be “bigger” than someone else. Acting like you are so much bigger than stu because he is a small 195ish and you are a huge monster at 250 is the type of thing people have a problem with. Obviously you weigh more and take up more space. But you just refuse to acknowledge that you carry significantly more fat than him. If stu “billed” up to your bodyfat percent I’m sure he would seem much bigger(if px, read more muscular) too.
And this statement makes me laugh a little bit:
“That’s why I got a caliper reading so there would be no guess work”[/quote]
Wow. I didn’t say “so much bigger”…I said bigger…which I am…and my lean body mass would state as well.
You said I don’t acknowledge I am carrying more body fat.
Response: I don’t know how much fat Stu is carrying now and don’t care but I am well aware that I may be carrying more fat than he is. You were incorrect to think otherwise.

Aren’t you the one always claiming LBM doesn’t exist need autopsies and a bunch of other BS to prove LBM
You MAY be carrying more fat than him. Honestly that is a joke right?
Diet down to stus level and see where you are at. You dillusionalmto think you even close to his level of bf. you no separation in your muscles and to embarrassed to post full body pics.
The reason you don’t diet down is because you like the size you have when you are 20% bf and taking up a lot of space. That is fine. Just admit it and move on

No. Lean body mass is determined from a body fat test. Brick was claiming some “40-50lbs” number that can not be calculated in any way at all without someone dying first…which means his number range is arbitrary and unsupported.

No, it wasn’t. If me writing I AM carrying more fat than him makes you feel better, I will try that.

I didn’t say I was ‘close to his level of bf’.
I am below 20% body fat…and yes, I like the size I have.

So your bodyfat looks like the ones pictured of below 20%?

It wouldn’t have to considering every human being is variable in how they look at a certain body fat percentage.
You do realize that, correct?

I am sure I will eventually, but I am also sure I have posted enough pictures up to now for what I have written in this thread to be supported.

Nope. I didn’t say I had. I said I will eventually.
No offense, but is English your first language?

No. I am actually trying to gain a little right now.
I was leaner than that in one of the other shirtless pics I have posted.
Question…what is the deal with some of you focusing this much on body fat?
I could see if I was truly obese…but to do this to someone with abs coming in is a little strange to say the least.
I haven’t seen too many of you carrying that much size for this to be the primary focus above all else.
Do you have any pics showing your own progress?

Apparently a lot of grown men trying to tell another grown man what his personality should be like while ignoring the actual topics being discussed.
If a discussion was actually allowed to take p[lace, much of this would end in less than a page.
I still haven’t heard where Brick’s “40-50lbs” is actually coming from or what it even refers to exactly.
He skips around that so much I am getting nauseated.

Well the focus is on bodyfat because its a very important factor in bodybuilding
Funny how this shit never comes up in the gym

LOL…and it won’t much for the same reasons I posted before about gym camaraderie.
This has to be one of the only sites about weight lifting where they will try to degrade someone’s progress simply because they aren’t below 10% body fat or care to be.

X that isnt true though. You get called out by people who dont think your claims of your level bodyfat are accurate that is all. If a skinny kid posted a pic and claimed to have massive development you would be on his case in an instant. Your goals are your goals dont let all the worry get in the way of them

Wah wah waaaaaahhh.
Same predictable crap.
You are boring with this.
Keep trolling and driving up the click counts.
Keep this forum popping up on the first page of google searches because of all these key words and phrases
I’m sure that’s the reason you are still allowed to post here, unless you have part ownership of the company is something.
Since we are on the topic of changing the guard, I will say I had to change my goals around quite a bit to focus on my career (law enforcement)
I couldn’t work out JUST for strength + size gains anymore
I had to do much more conditioning
Thats how I looked at it
My bodybuilding friends at the gym took it as I was cutting up, I laughed about it because obviously I don’t compete but I can’t really say they are wrong
But my goal was never to lose size!
So what ended up happening?
I lost over 30 lbs (215 down to 180ish) my strength took a huge hit as well
I was very upset by this and also all my clothes started fitting differently
My appetite drastically changed, which sucked because I worked very hard at building it up in the first place
Now obviously there were other outside-the-gym factors that attributed to these changes but the guard was changed.
Once I passed all my requirements for the job I started to focus on putting some size back on. Decreased conditioning to just 4 days a week (2 days walking+40 lb weighted vest, 1 day combat, 1 day HIIT) but kept my strength training at 3-4 days a week (based on my work schedule)
Currently at 190-195 and I don’t know how much more size I can put on considering all my eating habits have changed and I’m doing more conditioning, so I’m just focused on building up my strength again.
Going to do some shoulders today
Military Press (5/3/1 protocol)
Pull ups 50 reps
Close Grip Bench Press
Dips 3 sets 1st set BW 2nd +20 lbs 3rd +40 lbs
Lateral Raises 3x10-20
Rear Delt Raises 3x10-20
Barbell Curls 3x10-20
Solidkhalid, how do you feel at the lighter body weight?
How long did it take you to drop that 30lbs?
Is your current avatar when you were 215,180ish or now at 190-195?
I think a lot of people would be satisfied if you just showed a tiny bit of humility. My girlfriend likes to think she is never wrong, even in the face of evidence to suggest she simply MIGHT be.
If you would just say, “its possible my callipered reading might not be correct, and its possible I could actually have a higher bodyfat than I realize, but I still firmly believe I am right around 15%,” I think a lot of people would get off your case about it. Just pretend that you could be wrong, and someone else could be right. A lot more people would be open to your ideas if you didn’t try so hard to prove everyone wrong all the time. Every topic doesn’t recquire debate.
