like 20 minutes, then feel hot, lungs constrict and blood pressure through the roof. tried it twice after noticing a pattern. Finally, looked it up and, well it does that in some people, its an allergy. Lucky me… On the upside identifying what was driving lung problems is a good thing.

Gotta be a bummer to be so challenged with breathing issues. I’ve had a cough now for two weeks. And it’s really laid me low. Cold air, exercise, just about anything makes me start up the hacking.

Think I’m getting it dialed in. Stay away from nasty shit that I’m allergic to, take albuterol and primatene, if I feel anything. I’m not sold on the singulaire, but that could be because it is working. I have only missed a day here and there. Gonna try weaning off it in January… Also bad if I’m dehydrated, but that doesn’t respond to the drugs…

he got a set off, then other shoulder nearly floored him with pain. looks like lat/tricep attachment area. He can lift his arm every way but straight up as in lateral raise. He might have to see Dr.

Funny thing.
“That” GUY told my boy that that was man strength and was a lot of weight… Uh, I’m so bummed as I was doing 5x5x405, after smith 5x5x375 squats before lungs got hit with allergen and my pec strain benched upper body for 8 weeks so I’m NOT happy with 405, even the 1 500 single last week… frankly, everything seems heavy, some days worse then others…

Interested to read about your asthma Null, what are your specific triggers? As a fellow sufferer I can totally relate to some of what you go through and props for carrying on training regardless.

I’m not half as bad as you by the sound of it. Mine came on at the age of 20, never had it before then. I think my main trigger is dust, or more specifically dust mite faeces. I have to keep away from matresses (no changing the sheets for me), old books and rugs etc. Running or cycling in cold air can get me wheezing too. The only time I really suffer is if I get a cold or a chest infection. I’ve only ever had one full blown attack, it was in the middle of the night and it was absolutely terrifying. I’m currently taking Salmeterol and Beclometasone Dipro. and they seem to keep things under control as long as I keep my cardio up. I like to think I can manage without them but if I stop taking them or let my cardio lapse the wheezing soon returns. Well that’s enough of me rambling on about myself!

Training looks great BTW and I hope you have a healthy “wheeze free” 2011.

I really feel for you. Mine is acute. Long term, much be a real b1+ch. Please consider the asthma or anti allergy matress covers. There are several kinds. The cheap ones crinkle when you move, the better ones are like thinsulate (sorry about spelling). Let’s the matress breath, but keeps moisture out and doesn’t crinkle.

Hmm, cardio helps? My So will love to hear that. We went to gym together, she spins at a cadence of 106! Holly F! She doesn’t think anything of that…

My asthma has not been too bad when I think of how long you have been dealing with it. Dr.'s have mentioned it every once in a while. Never enough for treatment. Had a couple weird days mostly bicycling where it was like the the air was really thick. Always thought like it was an off day… Didn’t happen often, but it was like the brakes were on…

Recently I had been exposed to Guinea Pig, several times. Was exposed persistently for a long time, but it wasn’t this bad…

Ex wife trashed the house before I got it back, had to tear out carpets and such, used crime scene clean up methods, ended up painting sub floors and such. No amount of antihistamines would touch the reaction to the filth, like 2 claritin, 2 Zertec, and benadryl by the handfull. Reaction was constant fever until a while after cleaned up (took weeks, as I had to take days off)…

Long story short, My wonderful SO, helped me clean the upstairs where the Guinea pigs were… By the afternoon, I couldn’t breath… Tried massive doses antihistamine, didn’t help much… The good doctor, put me on Albuterol in the office, it was a Godsend.

I’m on Singulair and Albuterol when needed… I also self medicate with Primatene mist…

Anyway, I’m hoping my lungs heal up from the acute reaction… They seem to be getting better.

Forgot inhalers, lift not so bad considering. Gotta wonder how many calories are burned breathing heavy for several minutes between sets.
