If you lift weights processed food shouldn’t be a fear.

Too many lifters eat meat and still die too young anyway. History, these dudes need to check it.

And I’m very much pro meat, but it’s definitely overrated.

Why do you think that?

Because during training that food is doing different things versus a body whom is sitting around.

Research sugar and intense exercise, the body is utilizing that sugar differently during intense exercise.

But also, if your not hunting your own meat and growing your own food, all that is still processed and it varies depending on the vender.

Gotcha. This may be our disconnect. For you, sugar is the issue with processed foods?

Well, it’s sugar, carbs etc.

But we can still make better choices, for instance I will consume Dave’s breads over just about any other bread any day especially crap like white wonder bread. I mean the difference in how I feel after eating the two is night and day.

I once trained my neck really hard and felt like garbage with a headache the next day, maybe I had a few beers to contribute to it. I ate a couple of Dave’s raisin bagels plain without any spread and felt great, had a great workout.

The carbs from any of the whole wheat / grain breads seem to do better things.

Dave just happens to have a variety of different stuff, which is good. Eat the same chit all the time and your body eventually does not like it, no matter what it is. Breaks and changes are needed.

Adding cool whip to our diet may be the answer to all questions related. An evidently proven strategy by certain forum participants.

Agree. But it is good and good for you. Keep it in the freezer and it will stay fresh longer. Limit yourself to a pre-workout bagel and a single slice of Power Seed on non-training days and it becomes cost effective.
