Cardio Differences

Hey there.
i am new to T-Nation. Have a quick cardio question.

Is all cardio just that, cardio?

Are there any differences between 30 min running on the treadmill vs 30 min on the eliptical? Obviously running seems to leave me far more exhausted than the eliptical so in my head i have worked out harder…

Am I off target with this?

Get a heart rate monitor and focus on your heart rate max percentage.

I think it depends how much effort you put into it. If the treadmill gives you a better exercise, then do that, but obviously the ellyptical is easier on the knees.

Here’s a good exercise: try doing 30 minutes of what your avatar is doing and see how you feel lol.
