Carb Timing Help

I’m starting 8 weeks of day shift on Wed. the 20th. That means waking up at 4:30am and working 6:00am to 6:00pm.

My diet is fine during the day because I can eat whenever I want.

The problem is my pre and post work out timing. I take 1/2 Surge + 3 BCAA’s 30 mins before I work out and 1/2 Surge + Creatine and 3 BCAA’s immediately post workout out.

So prework out will be 7:00pm Postworkout will be around 830. I need to fall asleep at 10:00 pm atleast.

I do not want any carbs before bedtime. Half Surge has 25g and it is recommended to have a meal 1 hour after I take Surge.

So how do I fit this in to my schedule? Skip the Surge for post workout and replace with Low Carb Metabloic Drive than go to bed 1 hour later? Take the 1/2 Surge post workout and use that as my pre bed meal?

Also am I getting enough protein for pre and post work out by having 1/2 serving Surge each time? Surge has 31g of protein so I am only getting 15g before and after I train.

THANKS

If it were me, I would probably have the Surge post workout, then have a Metabolic Drive shake or a regular meal (protein and fat, slow digesting) before bed and a big breakfast.

Thats what I do now while I have the time.

I am not sure if going right to bed after having carbs is the best option, but it is only 3-4 days a week so I will see how it goes.

I will have a Metabolic Drive shake and 2 Flameout 1 hour after my post work out Surge. Than go to bed about 30 mins after that.

Thanks

OK here is what I am going to do.

5:00pm lean protein+greens
6:45-7:00 1/2 Surge + BCAA’s immediatly before work out
8:30 post workout 11.2 Surge +creatine and BCAA’s.

930 prebed lean protein + greens + 1 serving natural PB.

bed by 10:00 wake up at 430. Not as much sleep as I normally would get working night shift, but I will see how it goes.

How you in a fat loss phase or muscle gaining phase?

I was in a fat loss phase for a long time, but only the last few months have been successful.

I lost too much weight/strength so I am going to gain weight for a year or so while watching my body fat%.

I am low enough bf% to do this I just have to pay attention to everything I eat haha Thats why I am not sure about the Surge so close to bed time.

I will eventually cut down to single digit body fat.
