Carb Blockers

I can’t get the search function to work here-I know you have discussed it before surely—my friend says she likes them but I"ve heard they don’t work…anyone know for sure-are they a waste of money??

I was actually wondering about this too. My brain tells me it’s bunk. But Ag-guys sells them, and they are pretty reputable.

they can work, but it’s definitely NOT recommended except for rare ultra-binges. you don’t want to take them often because you won’t get enough carbs/fats (the one i’m referring to and have knowledge about is a carb & fat blocker) and lack nutrients.

they work pretty well, but not for everyday use by any means.

oh, and an ingredient in a lot of them are cockroach shells, so that may be an issue depending on how you feel about that. pretty disgusting imo, but then again so is cottage cheese, but i eat the shit anyway.

you’re an idiot.

it’s chitosan, not cockroach shells. crimers.

why not just eat good carbs? Brocoli isnt going to make you fat.

What if you deep fry it and then dip it in chocolate?

which is in the exoskeleton of a cockroach, or rather a derivative of the chitin in them. i said it for effect, calm down.

who the fuck would ever think to use that in something you consume… so gross.

wouldn’t taking soluble fibre give a similar effect? i assume the problem isn’t the carbs, but the insulin spike?

There’s a dye in ruby red grapefruit juice made of bugs  Cochineal is a common red dye used in consumer food products and helps make things -red-

Doubtful. You would either need to consume so few carbs that fiber helps reduce the GI, or consume so much fiber that you’ll basically have to sit on the toilet for about 2 hours. Although from what I’ve heard about these carb blockers you’ll be there anyway.
