Can't Increase my Lifts

So whatever I do, warmup or no warmup sets stretching as well and eating preworkout carbs etc… anything I do, I cant increase my lifts. And what frustrates me is that whenever I finish going heavy for 1 set for like 2-3 reps on bench press, my triceps have this feeling of being dead and I cant do anymore pushing exercises like overhead press, dumbell press etc… so I tried skipping the bench 1 workout and doing smith machine. Same result, my triceps just give up and I look like I’m having a stroke

Any help?

What’s your workout look like? Maybe you should lower the weight and go more in a 5-12 range.

I tried to as well :frowning:

What are your physical stats, your diet from day to day and your program you’re running?

I have my own program and try to mix things up and I have fruit most days before my workout and then most calories after

I’d be interested to know what your own program looks like and how you mix things up

Would you care to elaborate what your own program entails, and how you have designed your progressive loading in regards to volume, weight selection and what your lifting goal is?
I’m hoping

Doesnt mean that you’re inconsistent with your self designed program

What fruit are you having? Is it a high carb fruit? What do the rest of your meals look like?

I don’t want to come across like a prick but with your answers being vague means experienced lifters here can’t possibly dissect what you’re doing wrong, thus not be able to help you overcome your plateau

So on your further replies, please be as descriptive in your answers
Thanks

Probably best to rack up volume points. For like months. Stay in the 60-75% or 50-65% range.

So now you’ve seen what happens when you take that approach you have a few options.

You can continue to follow the path of failure or try something that might get different results.

Have a go at this:

More specifics will be necessary if you expect anyone to be able to help.

I’m always puzzled by threads that start with “my gains have stalled, any tips?” that provide no meaningful information abou what the trainee is currently doing. How can you get any useful “tips” without providing some basic information about your training style and history?

And in 9 posts the OP has managed to imitate hundreds of threads seeking advice, failing to give details, and frustrating everyone. It even has the obligatory 5/3/1 link.

Well done.

Maybe spend a few months concentrating on strengthening your triceps?

how much weight can you bench press? And what is your bodyweight?

Tri’s are a relatively small muscle group and when they’re done, they’re done.

Build them up with volume.
