Can you get stronger while on a caloric deficit?

I am guilty

I read this as Dick Rasin.

Time for more coffee apparently.

No. I have no idea who he is.

Maybe that would have worked for me too.

I was n=1, the ā€œbest scienceā€ was what worked for me. With carbohydrates I got stronger and had much fuller muscle bellies. Without carbohydrates I stayed weaker and much flatter looking.

I dieted using a feedback system. I wanted the scale to get lower, providing that I didn’t get weaker or look worse in the mirror. I adjusted carbohydrates based on my strength and the mirror.

The bottom line for me is that it worked for me. If I have said once on this forum, I have said it a dozen or more times: All I bring to this forum are my experiences. The only science we had was bro science.

This is not what I would call low dose AAS. But I understand that it considered not much today.

I can say, for me personally, carbs definitely help my performance and work capacity.

The times I’ve gone long enough periods without carbs, it became very, very easy to fast for long periods and it’s not like I all of a sudden couldn’t train (once I got adapted).

It was all on a spectrum, vs an on/ off switch: basically which 20% do I want to give up at any point in time.

We’re all using the same principles. There is going to be overlap in what people say and the nomenclature.

Sure, but, by days?

ā€œBulking is vaultedā€ is common nomenclature?

The Effects of Supraphysiologic Doses of Testosterone on Muscle Size and Strength in Normal Men | New England Journal of Medicine

Was a part of The Golden Era gang. He passed but his Youtube shows are still up, I think. Tons of great stories

I never said it was. It’s a cycle I stay on year-round.

I know nothing about steroids, but if you’re staying on it year round, wouldn’t that mean it’s not a cycle?

Technically sure.

I cannot find Rick Drasin in musclememory.com

Not under Richard either. That is a huge data base for bodybuilding contest results.

The site requires exact spelling. With the ā€œkā€ I got no results

Curious, why prop of you run it year round?

Also any concerns about perma-blasting? How long you been doing it? Assuming you don’t add additional compounds throughout the year?

Just cleaner in my experience. Might add Primo around Spring. About 5 years now.
