Is it possible to work the consumption of wine into a diet?
How much will I be shooting myself in the foot if I do?
I am not talking about wine 7 nights a week, but my fiance and probably have about 1 bottle of wine a weekend, sometimes 2.
Thanks,
Add up the calories, keep in mind that booze lowers T-levels and interferes with recovery and you be the judge. I see nothing wrong with a glass of red wine a day, that’s probably healthy, but a bottle or two over a weekend? If you get drunk, it’s way too much.
Dave’s points are right on, so I’ll just echo them. Sharing one bottle of wine with your significant other should not be a problem. Just don’t go much beyond that.
Drink your wine.
If you are going to drink wine is probably the best thing to drink, particularly red wine. I wouldn’t give up your ritual just for lifting. You gotta have balance, a bottle of wine a week end ain’t gonna kill you and it is not going to hurt you to bad, at least not noticably. It’s got some calaries, but so what, you excercise it’s not going to store on you. Besides you should be a tad more vascular after a galss or two. Enjoy, bottoms up!
Want some cheese with that wine?
