Mustang. For 2011 Its faster in a straight line, has better looks and out handles and out brakes the competition.
I don’t know why people on here have been knocking the handling.
I test drove a '08 GT and that was the most disappointed I had ever been in terms of handling and performance in a so called sports car, hopefully they changed something up in the past few years cause it was unresponsive and felt heavy which is what people on here are saying the new camaro feels. I have yet to drive a new camaro and after hearing what people are saying on here I will have lower expectations and hopefully they will be exceeded after driving one, cause based on looks I would have to give the camaro the edge.

I think you need to be aware that Mustangs have changed a hell of a lot in the past 2 years. Did you look at the link on the previous page?
I drove a '10 V6 as a rental. I would not base any purchasing decisions upon that experience in terms of power, performance, handling, etc.
It was certainly comfortable enough, though, and a nice break from the compacts I’m normally forced to rent on biz trips (this was one of the only cars at the rental place, so I got free upgrade to it).
On a side note- I often get a Charger as a free rental upgrade. I could see that as a daily driver. Plenty of power there for a sport sedan. They messed up not offering a two door package for that, but I digress.

No, I havent really done any research into them after driving one because I had really just lost interest in them. I figured with the high praise people are giving them they had to of changed something up.

Nothing compares to a small, light, tight Italian car on the snake-like twisting roads. Camero and Mustang are muscle cars and are great for raw straight away power, and those who want to call them sports cars are misguided.

Are you comparing them to a Ferrari or lambo? Because that isn’t exactly fair.

I just can’t see buying a 30-40k Ford or Dodge. I think you would look best in a Miata, convertible Beetle or better yet a Prius.
People will revel at your monstrosity more than even here on T-Nation, and I would get a good laugh.
First, 30k is about an average new car cost in the US, there is nothing wrong with that much money. Especially when you go on to talk about crapy quality over priced Italian cars.
My dad’s 99 f-150 has 280k miles on it, has had no major problems and is still running great.
Not to mention that many “foreign” cars are produced here in the US with the same quality challenges.
Rockscar, might want to watch the Mustang 5.0 vs M3 video on the page previous, they run almost the same lap time on a road course. That is a $30k mustang laying a beat down on a $60k+ icon ofGerman performance known for it’s handling prowess.
Also look what you can do with just a few thousand into a new 2011, running the 1/4 in 10.57 @ 124mph

Second, you forgot to mention a mini cooper.

Dude, chill, I was not saying I prefer Ital v US. I was saying He would look best in this. And for only like 5k…and a big smog problem…
I was responding to muscle car v true sports car and how the italian cars feel on twisty roads.
Fucking chill, you are putting words in my mouth.

Have you stated why you think this? I don’t think a Dodge is worth that much either but that is due to personal preference. If this were the year 2001, then yeah, I might agree with you on the Ford also…but it isn’t/ It’s 2011 and they have made changes. That retro body style is a whole different animal from the lesser made car they were putting out years back.
I don’t see many Mustangs before 2005 that I really liked.
Professor X, if you are set on a Mustang and have money to spend, check out the new 2011 GT 350. Classic styling of the old Shelby GT350 with all of the modern conveniences.
