You lost me at “cost $160,000”. Here in Australia because of the ecofascism you can add another 40k to that for “luxury car tax” plus carbon offset tax of 5k plus 10k stamp duty plus manufacturers’ local mark up plus any manufacturers’ costs in meeting local specs plus import duties plus shipping costs and maybe you might walk away with your shirt if you’re lucky.
The XK Jaguar in British racing green. This really is the finest looking machine ever made. In British racing green, with all that brass and wood panelling and leather. Absolutely beautiful. If only they had German engineering and didn’t break down all the time. Does anyone disagree that this is the finest looking car ever made?

Finest looking car? Perhaps.
Finest looking automobile? Not when I get done with my van it won’t be.
Ford RS200, never brought to the states. Used to homologate their Group B rally car. 0-60 in under 4 seconds in the mid-80s was unheard of.
I love how cars reflect the national character. Jaguars, Aston Martins, Bentleys, Rolls Royce - they’re so English looking and refined and traditional. Then the German cars with their supreme engineering and austere, functional interior. And the fiery Italian sports cars. Toys for playboys to zoom around the South of France and Northern Italy. The sublime red Ferraris. The crazy Lamborghinis and Maseratis.

My buddy in L.A. had one of these Circa 1992. I have some foggy recollections of fond memories of this car involving some pretty wild nights.
Lancia Delta Integrale, I love the boxy fenders.

The Pagani Huayra. Finally a car with the kind of power and performance I’ve been waiting for. Now if they could just lower the price below 70k I think we might have a deal on the table.
Unfortunately it looks more like some kind of cyborg exoskeleton from one of the Aliens films but I’ve heard it handles real sweet. It has stabiliser fins on the rear that measure the wind resistance and adjust like the flaps on aircraft wings but automatically, stabilising you as you careen around corners, reducing the g-forces and drift.
SM, the XK is nice, but the most beautiful car is the Bugatti Type 57 Atlantic.
