Calves and Abs

I made a workout program that I think works fine but I need to know a primary and secondary exercise for the calves and abs.
this is wat it looks like

Day 1: Quads dominant/Hamstring
Quad-----
squat
lunge
Machine hack squat
Hamstring-----
Deadlift
leg press
leg curl

Day 2: Pull (back, biceps, rear deltoids)
Back&Rear deltoids------
Pull-ups
One-arm dumbbell row
bent-over rear delt raise
biceps-------
Standing barbell curl,
Hammer curl
Machine curl

Day 3: Recovery

Day 4: Hips dominant/calves/abs
Hips-----
sumo deads
sumo squats
calves-----
abs-----

Day 5: Recovery

Day 6: Push (chest, triceps, deltoids

Day 7: Recovery

for abs i superset weighted incline situps with leg levers (also known as leg raises, even better if you have ankle weights)

The basic exercises for calves are standing calf raises and seated calf raises. I’d do both. I don’t know what kind of equipment you have available to you though.

i got rec centers and gyms to go to so equpiment is no issue

Then, on they day you train calves, I’d make sure you do both standing and seated calf raises. If you have a donkey calf raise machine, then I’d add those from time to time as well or on occasion do them in place of standing calf raises. Generally you always want to do at least one calf movement with your legs straight and one with your legs bent to hit both areas of the calves.

Did you just really post what are some ab and calf exercises?..wow…

Man you gotta make some effort. That is lifting 101. Open a book or almost any article on this site and many others and you can find exercises for each bodypart.

Got bodybuilding.com…they have a whole exercise catalog there. I used that when I started

those are alot of redundant exercises. i dont like it

i jus had a bit of time looking for compound excercises. lots of the workout i have found were because of lookin on the net. i have found a few that were compound but most isolated for abs and calves so i wanted to know what ppl use so that i might have some idea of what would be good way to work em.

compound movement for calves?

never heard of any…i guess they get worked during squats and deads…

I’ll make it easy. Calves:
Standing Cal Raise
Seated Calf Raise
Donkey Calf Raise
Leg Press Calf Raise

Abs:
Crunchs
Russian Twists
Squats/Deads are great for abs
Leg Raises
Reverse Crunch
V-UP
etc.

For abs( better yet core stability) I would suggest planks. Also, variation of planks: elbows on core ball and feet on bench
45-60 sec. PROPER FORM.

You realize for abs you need single digit BF, I assume you know that.
