Oh that sounds miserable! Stay home rest up, think about how awesome it’ll be to train when you feel whole again.
Listening to your body is always a great idea.
Seriously, you make me laugh out loud in this log. Maybe its just the liberal use of the word “cunt”.
No hot guys?! Lame! (seriously, I love British men…swoon!)
You’re not a wuss! Feeling light headed is no joke. Last thing you need is to faint between a bunch of plates and racks and other objects that might take your eye out!
Hope you feel better soon!
I didn’t train Monday or Tuesday but I am feeling a bit better now so it’s looking good for the weekend. Apparently light headedness is a common symptom of post-viral fatigue so I guess I was right not to train.
yeah, sometimes the body needs to rest! you have been doing really well with your squat progress in particular so might as well listen to it!

This weekend it is going down.
OH IT IS GOING DOWN MOTHAFUCKAS!
Glad you are feeling better. Hate fucking burpees, when am I ever going to have to do something like that in real life?
Nice!! Glad you’re feeling better. Weekend training it shall be!
Back in the gym this morning for an 8am circuit class. Loooooot of leg work (step-ups, side step-ups, front squats, jumping squats, lot of fucking burpees…plus some other stuff for flavour). Hard but I got it done without greying out like last week.
During the class we’re paired up so there are two people per station, and then we do some partner ab stuff. I got paired up with an Indian girl - pretty girl but she was sweating worse than I was to the effect that she was dripping on me during the partner sit-ups. Ugh.
After that I wasn’t going to do a weights workout but I did pop into the weights room to do five sets of two chins (underhand grip). Was pleasantly surprised I could haul my fat arse up to the bar twice without a band.
I have done more in the past but after a sick break (and I have gained back a couple of pounds during the last week through lack of exercise plus a bloody bake sale at school - cakes in the staff room waiting like an elephant trap, damn them).
Did a few handstands as well. Actually managed two to vertical without touching the wall but couldn’t hold them for more than a couple of seconds. Still, progress.
I’ve got reports to write this week so, other than recording workouts, I don’t think I’ll have much time to post. Going to be pretty busy.
Bleh!! Other people’s sweat is repulsive! (unless its the sweat of a sexy man in your bed and/or similar) When I play soccer and I brush up against other players and get their sweat on me, I want to puke! Thank god I’m a dainty flower and my persperation is like morning dew with a hint of citrus (I eat grapefruit diurnally).
Anyways, excellent job on the circuit! I definitely love that class. And all the uni work is going to do wonders for you.
Also great idea to work the chins and handstands post class. Makes sense to do BW work after a class like that.
Enjoy the weekend! Good luck with your reports ![]()
Ew ew ew on the sweat!!
Yay yay yay on the chins!!!
There is only one time that dripping sweat on someone else is acceptable… and maybe even hot.
Eight a.m. circuit class is NOT THAT TIME!
No kidding. It hit me on the face. I guess I’m thankful it didn’t go in my mouth.

I’ve had that happen. Oh god rolling with sweaty men in BJJ can be disgusting, they drip in your eyes, in your mouth, all over. I’ve tapped to disgust before.
ew.
glad to know your feeling better.
I spent Sunday hunched over my PC. Despite my intentions, I got too embroiled in report writing to get to the gym (and I was taking breaks from the reports by playing games - I guess I should have done something physical but games felt like more of a reward/incentive. (The reports are far from finished, incidentally, because it takes me some time to get through the whole school - but I’ve got four classes’ worth done.
I did hit the gym this morning (eventually). I’d intended to do a shortish workout but it lasted a bit longer because I discovered hot guy from the circuit class training in the large part of the gym when I went in there to do my lat pulldowns.
Training was something like this:
Military Press: Bar x 12
3 chins
MP: 25kg x 10
2 chins
MP: 30kg x 8
2 chins
Barbell Hip Thrusters: 50kg x 10
Sumo Deadlift: 50kg x 10
1 chin
BHT: 60kg x 10
Sumos: 60kg x 10
1 chin
Dips x 10
1 chin
Dips x 8
1 chin
Close Grip Pulldowns: 40kg x 10
Push-ups x 10
CG Pulldowns: 50kg x 10
Push-ups x 10
Straight Arm Pulldowns:
20kg x 10
Stretch
15kg x 10
Stretch
Dumbell Cleans: 14kg x 8 (per side, alternating)
Some handstand tomfoolery.
And yes I did chat to the hot guy. I have no idea if he’s single or even interested but he is at least friendly.
Right, back to reports.
Hot guy, did you flex your gunz for him? Maybe ask him to spot you for something ![]()
see Hot Guy in the gym.
bang out hip thrusts like a boss ![]()
winning!
I see a lot of chins in there Cal -nice work.
Haha mainy!
That’s a nice little sesh you’ve got there, i love all the chins tossed in.
Good luck with your reports!
I actually offered to spot him, chou - but he wasn’t lifting enough to need it. He’s more about conditioning than strength, going by his training. Anyway…
