Calories for Mass Without the Fat

If you are trying to gain lean muscle mass with out putting on any or much fat do you still need to intake more calories than you burn. If so do you just eat whatever or do you have to watch what you eat.

Think real hard, I think you can answer this yourself.

ya you gotta set up a caloric surplus. and yes… they have to be clean foods or you will gain fat.

troll?

WHENEVER your trying to gain weight a calorie surplus is required, that said if you are lookin to make serious progress with your goal you need to realize that gaining muscle with little to no fat is extremley hard. Realisticly you will gain some fat along with your muscle.

K thanks I was just wondering cause some people have said to just eat a shit load of anything while others have said to just work out hard and not worry as much about my diet.
