It’s 1396 for 181 I just found a chart on another website with actual poundages.
What maxes are you shooting for?

I wasn’t referring to you two; both of you actually look like you can stand behind your numbers… But some other people’s claims earlier on in this thread seemed pretty exaggerated.
Turning 21 this weeks.
222lbs as of yesterday with soft abs.
I’m pleased seeing as I started off at around 140-150lbs 4 years ago.

500, 300, 600. It’d be a definite shot at the moon type thing though there is indeed a shot. I suck at bench and am just now working with the pause so we’ll see how it goes and been holding back slightly in squat because of an injury but I think I may just go for broke if my first two attempts feel good (400/450). Not sure if the 600 deadlift is conceivable especially after all the other lifts but we’ll see. All and all a shot though small.

Haha, I just wanted to clarify.

Shia Lebouf and Twilight. And every other shit film star over the past few years.
I’m not going to make any arguments about the age thing. I know I try very hard to do my best and I know most people in all age groups don’t do that.
In case anyone is interested:
Started this log when I saw the original <25 thread: TCam's Log - Get Strong(er) - Training Logs - Forums - T Nation
I actually started it 1 year and 1 month ago today. Since then I have increased my squat by 90 lbs, bench by 40 lbs, and deadlift by 100 lbs (current: s425/b375/d545). Also, my box squat has gone up from a 405 touch-and-go (maybe 365 actual) to a 475 actual box squat. I’ve gained 20 lbs of muscle and maintained or decreased body fat without any real effort.
My current goals are to squat 475 (hardest for me), bench 405, deadlift 565, and box squat 505 within the next few months (probably December for deadlift and box squat, and before spring for squat and bench). Obviously those are for the main lifts; I have goals for dips, rows, pull-ups, etc. as well. Physique goals are basically to maintain 215-225 lbs (for powerlifting in 220 class) and lose some fat. Strength means more to me though.
I only have a couple of videos in my log because I keep forgetting my camera, but I’ll start forcing myself to remember. I’ve been learning a lot recently, so I think my lifts will go up fast.
Don’t get me started on this crowd haha.
And another pants story. I’m about 5’11’’ 230, thighs measuring around 29 right now and waist fits into 33’s, let’s just say when I find a pair of jeans that work, I don’t buy another for a long time haha.
Let me know what brand they are when you do ha.
My legs are nowhere near as massive as some of you guys, but my waist is a big large for my size. Relaxed fit usually is the safest bet for muscular legs, with straight fit being a close second.
i would start a log, but i’m too lazy lol.(i do have one in a notebook)
goals for june 15,2011: 260lbs military press/500 lbs sumo deadlift
current:135-155 military press/ 350-370 sumo deadlift
will be HARD, but i’m willing to bust ass for this. box squats have already increased my deadlift and i know this without testing a max (315 used to come up slowly but now it explodes us!)
gotta prove us <25 crowd is determined!!!
Congrats on the huge bench austin

Thanks DD, I love how most of the BOI is around 4/5/6 or above…it’s crazy to think how much everyone has progressed over the past year or two.

Yep, agree with this.
I think it boils down to people pressured into acting like everyone else and physical culture has been lost and take over by partying, drinking, etc. Not that there’s anything wrong with partying, but weights used to come first and prioritized, not anymore.
I could talk all day about this, our culture creates effeminate men. We get bombarded with programming everyday via TV, news, radio, internet – unless we make the conscious choice to choose a path of edification, self-development, and develop faith in ourselves we will not become real men. Probably best to leave that discussion to world issues board.
Lmfao, went on a rant about our culture creating faminine males a few weeks ago on another board…It disgusts me.
I think it’s a correlation between wanting immediate satisfaction and being motivated to want to push yourself to be come better. If you are happy where you are why change it?
I have so many of these guys as friends and as people I meet at parties, they probably never think about their body type , but they see me and immediately jump to working out and " Oh man I wanna get so big like I heard about protein but I like my kidneys"
Then when I’m gone they go back to being cheery and happy selves.
I’m 18 and for me what pushed me was football and just tired of being just another boy in highschool who wore the same clothes and talked the same way. I would never go back, just wished more kids ditched the 110 lb abs and would join the club.
Age: 18

Weight: ~195
BF: >8-9
Time Training: 2.1/2 years
Lifting Stats:
Squat: 465 x 3
Deadlift: 465 x 3
Bench: 315 x 3 ( 4 assisted )
Goals by 2011:
Squat: 495
Deadlift: 555
Bench: 365, I did it assisted.
My main goal is to get my deadlift much higher than my squat. My bench is very strong, thank god for these stubby arms! I also have videos or can have a video if needed.
Cheers.

To be honest, I’m rather disappointed with my progress as of late… and I know exactly what the problem is. NOT EATING ENOUGH NOT TRAINING HARD ENOUGH. I’m letting others dictate when I stop eating as opposed to pushing through. I’m giving up too easily in the middle of sets.
Fuck abs and fuck proportional strength.
Thanks for bumping this thread with your awesome 405 bench, austin (vid? Didn’t you hit that at an earlier time when you were holding more weight?). The ensuing conversation reminded me of what needed to be done.
Thanks and here is the video. Never hit this weight before, hit 385 when I was 260ish, just hopped on the sacle about an hour ago and was lighter than I thought (232 lbs).
I’ve put a lot of weight on my lifts during the time I dropped some excess body fat.
hahahahah what the fuck was that? dude ur ass got so far off the bench Id swear you were trying to fuck the bar. I like how you pretend to get a tight arch at the beggining, but the fact that your ass got like 3 feet off the bench shows your arch was fucking weak

Out of curiosity, was you first “homosex” experience perfect? (Not one to judge, just stating the fact from your avi). My guess is probably not
So instead of being a douche, and telling me I suck, I will be the first to admit I am not the best, how about you provide me with some help on how to nail that form. I mean I did move 405 pounds of my chest from point A to B which not many nattys can do especially at my age, but clearly it wasn’t perfect, I will get there and will surely provide new videos soon. To be quite honest if I kept a good arch and a tighter upper back I could probably have lifted more…The ass of the bench which did nothing but fuck up my stabilization probably caused me to lift less.
Can you teach me? Can you provide me with your youtube channel? Can you act like a man?

U jelly?
Austin, very good job with the big 4 plate bench, that’s a goal I hope to accomplish ASAP although I have about 90lbs to go.
With regards to your ass leaving the bench problem, I think you just need to get you feet farther towards your head when you setup, once you do that you won’t have that problem anymore and your power transfer will be cleaner.
Although I’m much weaker than you I do pride myself on having a very clean PL style bench press setup.
In this video you can see how a person accomplishes this setup, basically I start my setup with my head and shoulders completely off the bench, drive my toes into the floor and then bring my body into the arched position under the bar. It is extremely uncomfortable on the warmup sets haha.
Although my ass doesn’t leave the bench I can guarantee you that I’m using leg drive to the full extent of my power. Here’s another video from the side, you can see that my ass WANTS to come up but it doesn’t because I cranked my arch so tight that it’s impossible for it to lift even though I’m pushing as hard as I possibly can with my lower body on the concentrics.
Anyways you probably already know this stuff but I thought I’d counteract the negativity with some advice that might help your lifting career. Good luck man! Great work so far!
Ebomb you’re also crazy strong for being my age! Very inspiring guys.

I’ve found that American Eagle jeans (boot cut) work well. I don’t wear anything else from there as I don’t think a lot of their stuff is very good quality, and prefer not to be a walking billboard. That being said, the jeans are good, I’ve got 28" legs and a 31 inch waist. Still have to wear a belt with the jeans but I can actually wear 32x32 jeans from there and be comfortable (not hugging my nuts and I can actually squat down to grab something without worrying about ripping the ass/crotch - which happened to my last pair of jeans).
