Austin, part of it I’d say is that you’re legs may be too short for the bench. Get some blocks or something you can put under your feet that are stable so that way you can get a solid arch without having to bring your heels off the ground.
As it looks to me you end up bringing your butt off the bench to try and drive through your heels (which I can’t see but looks like you succeed in driving through the heels). If you add the blocks you’ll be able to drive through your heels and keep your butt on the bench.
Also I hate all you fuckers that are decent benchers. It has always been my biggest weak point. While most kids bench and curl all the time when they’re younger, I spent my years rowing and have a natural affinity for deadlifting and squatting because of it.
Point in case: I took the last year off squatting due to a partially torn hip flexor, came back to it a few weeks ago and still was able to squat 375 for reps. My bench generally sucks compared to the other two and will be the thing that holds me back in my PL meet.

HAHA I personally prefer form to lifting anything heavy and losing form. I cant take anything away from your benching video and I wouldn’t want too. Its pretty legit. I understand the drive to put up huge weights. I tend to start out using light weights with rigid form and before long I just say fuck it and go heavy but I think it takes a lot of effort to get past that mental barrier that everyone here has and do some light weight with high reps. After all this is a bodybuilding forum and changing how you lift on a regular basis is the name of the game.

I’ve found that American Eagle jeans (boot cut) work well. I don’t wear anything else from there as I don’t think a lot of their stuff is very good quality, and prefer not to be a walking billboard.
