benched 405 today, deadlifted 586 a few days ago, squat is low-mid 400s…
4/5/6 club would be stellar before turning 21…just need to get that squat up.
Hell ya bro!
I would like to hit 4/5/6 club by 21, just gotta get the bench there!
With my luck, I’ll be hitting 405 incline before I hit flat.
That’d be more impressive…haha your incline is sick bro.
Thanks bro.
My incline bench is moody. Some days 315 feels good, others not so much. I think I’m gonna try focus on it and push it into the mid to high 300s.
The sadness related to the disturbing lack of younger lifters is directly related to the pathetic, effeminate standards of young men in today’s culture.
Thankfully, there is a crowd of dedicated under-25 lifters that I know exist. I’m 21 and have a dozen of so of friends/acquaintances who also lift heavy and seriously 5 or 6 days a week and eat right. I hope all is not yet lost.

Yep, agree with this.
I think it boils down to people pressured into acting like everyone else and physical culture has been lost and take over by partying, drinking, etc. Not that there’s anything wrong with partying, but weights used to come first and prioritized, not anymore.
Recent stats:
264 x 7 bench (PR = 264 x 8)
396 x 8 deads (PR = 396 x 10)
286 x 6 squat (PR = 309 x 5)
Strength is a bit down after 15 weeks dieting and a 9 day lay off due to exams and recovery. Weights starting to ramp up again and I should start hitting new PRs in about 2 weeks. Squats I got ATG on.

I could talk all day about this, our culture creates effeminate men. We get bombarded with programming everyday via TV, news, radio, internet – unless we make the conscious choice to choose a path of edification, self-development, and develop faith in ourselves we will not become real men. Probably best to leave that discussion to world issues board.

Haha, I’m sure you were. People don’t like to recognize this. Unfortunately the message to young guys like us today isn’t one that advocates for self improvement, whether that be physical or psychological, as much any more. Unfortunately, few recognize this.

They can continue taking the blue pill, you can’t force them to wake up if they don’t want to.
Post beginning stats (age, weight, height, BF%, skill level),
Post workout stats (bench, squat, deadlift… throw in press and power clean if you’d like),
Post a beginning photo (front, back, side… all relaxed unless you have something to show),
Post your short-term (~3-6 months) and long-term (~2-3 years) goals, and
Come back to this thread and post a link to your thread.
Example:
Age: 24
Height: 5’8"
Weight: 192 lbs (going down though to make weight for my first PL meet)
BF%: 9%
Level: Intermediate. I don’t believe in advanced, I can always learn more.
Workout stats, haven’t maxed in a good long while so here are my latest heavy days:
Bench: 255x6
Squat: 380x6
Deadlift: 480x5
Goals:
ST: 450, 300, 550 (1300 total at first meet) @ 181 lbs
Mid-term length goal: I’d like to get an elite total (raw) at my 2nd meet at 181 which would be 1394 lbs.
LT: 550, 400, 650 (while at 181, which would be a 1600 total)
Age: 20, turning 21 in 1 month
Height: 6’, maybe 6’1"
Weight: 195 ish, maybe 200. Weighed 140 when I first started
BF: I don’t know. Abs are a bit visible

Lifting Stats:

Deadlift: 460 X 1
Bench: 240 X 2
Goals by 2011:
Squat: 365 X 1
Deadlift: 495 X 1
Bench: 275 X 1
I’ve gotten plenty of comments on how “jacked” I am now from friends/family who haven’t seen me in a while. Everyone jokes now about how they shouldn’t mess with me anymore. I’m not saying I’m huge so don’t flame me for being cocky lol, I’m just saying I’m obviously on the right track
