I recently benched 405 at the age of 20. I do not have a video or pictures of the lift, so it technically never happened.
But I promise you the next time I max out I will record it.

You never get those years back either…which seems to be something the “slow gain” crowd hasn’t figured out yet.
I guess that’s why there are so few people who are really strong on a website that supposedly attracts all of these “functional strength” people…but they sure can find videos of several OTHER random people who are strong…just not them.
Gunning for 405 right now, was hoping for summer time if I could gain about 15 lbs of bodyweight, but would be very happy hitting it by the end of the year when I turn 23 in december. Currently, I can only do 315x3 at 185 lbs.

So, the message is; gain alot of weight, bench 405 before I turn 23, tape it and show it to Professor X. Then get cut and bang the best pussy around?

Before major wrist surgery I was benching 315(raw) flatbench at 15 years old. I dont know what prof. X is talking about but I think that if i trained i could get 405 well before i turn 23. I am 20 right now so I will keep you guys updated on my progress.
oh by the way that is at a bodyweight of 200lbs soaking wet.

Yeah…I know…so much talk of what you can POSSIBLY do.
I hope you do it…but again, on a site where everyone acts like bodybuilders are so weak…it sure does seem to be the other way around.
18 Years old, Start training I weight ~135lbs. 6 months later, 170lbs, Bench ~225. 19 Years old, 200 lbs, 280ish bench. 6 months later (now) 220lbs 325ish bench. These are not for reps, only one good controlled paused rep.
Nothing to call your mom, but before 21 I will bench 405.
And for those who say that their shoulders won’t let them bench, they didn’t let me also when I was warming up wrong and that my training plan was not optimal (to be gentle). Unless you had shoulder surgery I believe anyone can progress on the bench press without making his shoulders suffering.
Well crap I feel emasculated, I can’t bench near 300 yet and I’m 24. Doesn’t help I didn’t start lifting until 22.
so tell us now prof x (and modok), how did you train when you we’re that young and how did you became so f*cking strong? did you follow training a musclegroup once a week? give us some insight pls ![]()

Im shocked at that statement, Has professor x ever walked into a D1 football programs weightroom? I know the Penn State workout coach and I asked him how many people on the team can bench over 400 and he told me…20. they have 20 kids on that team alone that bench over 400 and all of them are between 18 and 22.
I have two personal friends as well that i work out with, one that benches 430 and is 21 years old and one that benches about 440 right now and has his highschool bench press record for doing 415 as a senior in highschool. Maybe i just have strong friends, or maybe, your friends are just pussies :).
Im 19 and maxed at 275 about a week ago…4 yrs is def. to get it up there.
