Cable Crossover VS Standing Cable Bench Press

Before going all gung-ho trying to help this “kid” out, cock a snook at his previous posts and decide if he is worth assisting. Particularly look at his body recomposition thread where he argues with Stu.

So no one is going to try using a dip belt with weights to help them keep from falling over on standing cable chest press? HEY DANKID, give it a go, and see if it works.

If you’re gonna put a dip belt on, why not do some dips and chins?

Damn, I am just curious if it would work. I dont have the setup to test myself, and if I wanted to do that I would just do band resisted pushups instead.

I just tried cable cross overs, and they get my seal of approval. After heavy pressing of course. They seem like a great addition to use when my heavy pressing consists of mostly tricep work that day, in replacement of a “supplemental press”. I think using them in a more “bodybuilding” rep scheme would be better than going heavy. I tried both that workout and whenever the weight got too high up there I would lean forward or use my biceps or cheat in some other way.
