I have two questions actually. Has anybody out there tried both C.P. “Luke Sauder” Calf routine and also Ian kings? Which gave you better results? Also, could someone explain C.P.'s exercise B on the high volume day? The one with like 10 sets of 10 on the calf raise machine? Do you take 10 seconds to lower the weight after each set of 10 and then go right into the next set of 10? I guess I’m just not getting it. thanks guys
I’ve tried both, and got better results from Poliquin’s, but both brought about good results. King’s was more difficult to finish, but the size/strength gains were not as great. The B exercise is just regular standing calf raises. HOWEVER, what your doing is 10 sets of 10-30 reps, with only 10 seconds rest in between each set. You might want to try this with just your body weight to start with. DOn’t worry, on the 6th or 7th set your calves will not actually explode, they just feel like that. Also, because of the increased bllod flow to the area, I regularly gained an inch during the workout, but of course it was only short lived, but over 6 weeks I gained a good inch that is still with me.
i’ve used both at different times during the year and gained about 1/2 and inch on poliquins, and 3/8 on kings.
on the b high volume day, you do 10-30 reps on a 111 tempo, resting 10 seconds, doing 10-30 reps on a 111 tempo, resting 10 seconds, etc.
