Buying Textbooks on Ebay?

I’m taking a human anatomy/physiology class this summer and the textbook is $170 in the bookstore. I’ve seen it for around $100 on amazon.com and one person is selling it for $60 on ebay. Problem is i’ve never used ebay and have no idea how often you get scammed or how reliable it is to purchase stuff there.

This is the item im looking at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320109839475

It’s so tempting to get an account with ebay and buy it for the “Buy it Now” price which is over $100 less than at the college bookstore…but I just dont know how reliable ebay/paypal and that “buy it now” deal is.

Anyone got any advice?

They have over 1500 feedback, a decent rating and not much negative feedback for the amount of dealing they’ve done. I think you’ll be fine - just MAKE SURE you are buying the correct book - get the exact details of what you want and ask him if it’s the correct one.

Yeah, it seems legit. Like rsg said, make sure its the right book. If it is, buy it.

Another way to help save on textbooks is sign up for classes with friends. Try to overlap courses and you can split the cost of textbooks.

Also- check out the class requirements.

A couple of my classes had online testing and participation that was required.

The only way to enroll and participate was with the c.d. rom that came with the book.
