Bush: Most-Fit President in History

XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN JULY 31, 2005 19:44:05 ET XXXXX

BUSH EXERCISES 6X A WEEK; ‘MOST-FIT’ PRESIDENT IN HISTORY

President Bush turned 59 years old this month and his health is in the “superior” fitness category for men his age – greater than 99% percentile for 55-59 year-old men!

The latest health results make Bush the “most-fit” president in modern history.

He has not had a sick day in the past year – and he works out 6 days a week: Workouts include bicycling (15-20 miles, 15-18mph), treadmill (low impact “hill-work”), elliptical trainer, free weight resistance training, and stretching.

The President takes a daily multi-vitamin, low-dose aspirin, glucosamine/chondroitin, and an omega 3 supplement.

Bush Weight: 191 pounds(last year 199)

Body Composition: Body fat 15.79% (last year 18.25%; normal for age 16.5-20.5%)

Resting heart rate (seated): 47 bpm

Resting blood pressure (seated): 110/64

Uncompensated (uncorrected) distant visual acuity was 20/20 in both eyes. Corrected near visual acuity was 20/20 in both eyes (the President uses reading glasses as needed).

Bush does suffer from gastroesophageal reflux (GERD), with well-defined triggers (e.g. coffee, peppermint).

yawn…

Simply amazing! With his new status as Fitness King of Universe now he can go fight WITH the troops!!! Awsome man. What a great leader.

Did they really put an exclamation point after that?

Some real dumb replies. Why even post. “Yawn” “Whas that an exclamation point, only people with low intelect use those.”(Every Prof X post uses intellect, intelligence, working mental capacity, etc. in the wording to imply or state that someone is obviously not smart). Yeah, I know everyone thinks Bush sucks, he’s only the President, blah blah blah, he’s in good shape. Who cares? Fitness sucks, he’s lame. Oh, wait, isn’t this a fitness site? I find it interesting that he’s 191 and pretty lean. He doesn’t look that big on TV, but he’s obviously in good shape. But of course he still sucks, he should go fight in Iraq. Zinger, good one.

I’m so glad for you. Get off his fucking nuts already.

LOL agreed.

Good for Bush! I’m serious. But this belongs in the off-topic section. This is not Politics or a World Issue by any means.

Pretzel,

If you can’t figure it out, which apparently you can’t…

Oh crap, I don’t even care.

The fact that a man appears to keep himself fit does not make him my hero. If that is all it takes to be your hero, you are welcome to start bowing at my feet.

Thank you.

I want frankincense and myrrh rubbed on my feet. I’ve always liked the sound of that…“myrrh”.

Yea, his deadlift is pretty good too.

He just tells a couple of big Marines to pick the weight up for him and to have blind faith that there is a good reason for them doing so, then takes credit for the lift.

I think he has the world record.

hahahaha! That joke got my morning rollin.

Upon reading this I knew that the Bush haters would not be far behind. They can’t put politics aside for even an instant! You see if a man is wrong about an issue, or even all the issues then obviously you can’t admire his fitness prowess. Why that would be…um mature!

I read an article about John Kerry during the campaign. The article pointed out that Kerry was an avid bicyclist. It went on to state that on the previous Sunday he completed a 20 mile bike ride (can’t remember the time, but it was impressive). Knowing that the man was very close to 60 years of age, I had nothing but admiration for his effort. Does admiring his fitness regime mean now that I have to vote for democrats the rest of my life?

It has nothing to do with politics! These are men who lead very active lives, can afford any sort of lifestyle that they want and still maintain a high fitness level. That is a great example to set for the country.

The Presidents body fat is 15%! and he peels off sub 4:00 miles on his bike, one after the other. Runs three 6:20 miles in a row! Some of you who like to look in the mirror and flex should give that a try. At the very leasst try to get beyond the fact that you don’t like his politics, but are big enough people to agree that his fitness lifestyle is something that is admirable!

In other words: GROW UP!

What do you mean, Zeb? Bush’s level of fitness is quite impressive for his age. So is Kerry’s. Everyone should be able to admire that. Both have absolutely nothing to do with politics or their abilities to lead.

Imagine that…ON A POLITICAL DISCUSSION FORUM!

Well golly Zeb, you must be some sort of precognitive genius.

Perhaps you can get people to start worshipping you as well?

Odd…just plain odd.

I simply admire those who age and continue to maintain high levels of fitness, regardless of their politics.

By the way is Jack Lalane a republican? Hey…matters not he’s still amazing.

So do I. It was maybe an oversight on his part, but if Yustas had posted in the Off-Topic section instead of Politics, I would hope everyone would’ve just said, “Wow, great.”

Good for President Bush. He sets a good example in the fitness department.

And I don’t think recognizing a President’s fitness level is a call to worship him or even vote for him.

Not to stray too far off topic…who am I kidding…What is ‘myrhh’ Has anyone ever smelled it?

Evidently it was some pretty high dollar stuff back in the day.

Just wondering out loud - sort of.

Back on topic -
GDub is the most fit President ever. Why? Because his daddy pays for his gym membership, as well as his personal trainer. It has nothing at all to do with W’s dedication. It’s all because of his rich, evil daddy.
