The passions aroused in us by the attack are deep & raw. Passion, if it is not channeled, is dispersed uselessly & burns itself out. However, passion well-channeled can accomplish great things. In addition to giving blood, time & charity to those in need, I would make a less noble but still practical suggestion: take your rage with you to the gym & burn it as fuel for your workout. If you’ve been slacking off, it’s time to kill those weights. Need resolution for your diet? Turn rage into resolution. (Tomorrow morning I finish the Ian King Limping series, & I’m looking forward to one killer workout.) In a very small, personal way, we can turn tragedy to advantage & come out stronger & better for it. Isn’t that what a T-Man would do?
