Congrats!!

Nice work on the deads and benches. Congrats on being a grandfather, awesome.

Congrats about being a grandfather.

Thanks guys (and gals)!! The boy is gonna keep it quiet from the rest of the family until 3 months have elapsed… just, well… you know…

Well, tonight was the first time ever trying a squat suit (Inzer “Z” suit)… it was intersting getting it on by myself, thats for sure, but I did it

Got a few strange looks fom people in the gym when they seen me in it, I don’t think they have seen anyone in a squat suit before. At least they knew better than to say something stupid that would have resulted in broken bones… I was not in a good mood by the time I got the damn thing on… anyways, I am still undecided whether I like it or not… I will give it a few more tries before I render my verdict. One thing I do know… that s.o.b. is some uncomfortable!

You need to get 600+ on there and just ride it down. Concentrate on the sitting back/knees out. You’ll be fine.

I have put on gear in a commercial gym, I remember getting no comments but lots of looks like I was the ultimate of deviants. Oh well.

you are right Pete… I was running out of time, and getting a little tired by the time I got over 500 and got the suit on.

I think next time I will just warmup to whatever, put the suit on… work up to 500 +
.

Here is a question for you geared lifters… do you use the suit everytime you squat, or do you change it up?

I’ve worn gear many times in commercial gyms; like last night for instance. In my case I don’t know if they’re looking at the suit or the skinny chick squatting three plates. Regardless, just pretend you’re a powerlifting rock star and they’re basking in your deviant awesomeness.

I had a z-suit for my first one and didn’t get a ton out of it but I found it a lot more painful than the centurian just because of that fucking leg-lock thing. The other thing I’m sure you’ve noticed is that you get winded and worn out just beating yourself into it.

Unless I’m gearing up for a meet, I cycle using the suit. I go week one raw, week two straps down only for triples, week three straps up heavy singles then back to raw. Gearing up for a meet, I wear it every time.

Congratulations grandad. You must be pretty excited.

Since I am multi ply, but not preparing to skwat in a meet this cycle, I am just skwattin’ in the briefs. I think Ms O’s suggestion should work for you.

Awesome…thanks Ouro and Pete. I shall try this method. Do the "briefs do the same thing as the suit with the straps down, or is it different all together?

I am now in the market for a bench shirt as well… advice, anyone?

Katana/Super Katana. Go on the Titan website and figure out what size you’d need. There’s always shit floating around to borrow or buy second hand. First thing is figure out about what you’d need for size. There is often gear for sale on the CPU site.

I bet the guy that sold/loaned you the suit may have shirts. Isn’t bench his thing?

I train raw unless a meet is on the horizon. Then I do the raw, partial gear (wraps, straps down), into full gear thingy.

Thanks Ouro… KP!! :))

Saturday Feb 26th went and did some strongman and general physical preparedness training at my buddy’s place, good times. Does not take long to get out of shape… not that I was ever IN shape… well, round is a shape

Not just a line on a shirt but from one of the best benchers in the country. It comes with big bench vibes.

Awesome. For single ply Titan is da bomb. I also like my double ply Fury. Ain’t fancy but it gets me there.

Could you find one for me, O? I could sure use a shirt with big bench vibes.

Ouro got me in contact with a super guy… freakin’ monster… goes by W.E.C. on these boards and he lives within about an hour of me, but 20 minutes or so from where I work. Got invited to train at his gym to learn a thing or two… damn excited I am, especially after training alone for so long.

Anyways… I will just have to find the time to make it over there…

I feel like a powerlifting match maker

I figured you worked close to his place. Definately make time. The training is great and the company is even better. See if you can get an invite into his hot tub. I haven’t yet.

awesome stuff. training with stronger people makes you stronger. I attribute my 705 geared pull last night to happening only because, after I failed, a trainer partner got 800 raw. there was no way I was leaving the gym without at least getting 700
