You’re my kinda man.

I worked out 11 days after having my appendix out in 2009. It was only an upper body workout. I even lied to my wife that the doctor said I could train after two weeks, in fact he said two months!

Nice Deadlifting.

Bunnys aren’t supposed to be this tough.

Best wishes for clear sailing ahead.

Whatever it’s all about, big bunny man, there’s a big bunch of us lunkheads (and lunkhead-ettes) that think you’re doing grand.

Thank you to everyone who has stopped by to wish me a speedy recovery and check on my well being, appreciated, and it means a lot

I will not know the results of the tests until sometime in the first week of February, so I have been told. Can’t sit around waiting and moping and worrying… piss on it!

FARMERBRETT- I kinda did the same thing, doc said take a few weeks off, I took 10 days, told the wife he said 7 days…

Still got the stitches in my back… getting them out today. Could not go too crazy with the bench, did not want to rip them out.

Went and watched the Ontario Provincial Powerliftng Championships this weekend, very inspirational, and the few friends I had lifting in this event did very well… and others had a few “problems”, but were very classy in the way they handled the adversity. Good job to all, and nice seeing you all!

Another thing I decided this weekend is I am going to invest in a bench shirt and a squat suit I think…

Finally coming to your senses:)

Pete… yeah, just want to explore some other options out there, and save my shoulder(s) from further damage. I will be trying on a squat suit next week that a friend is dropping off… looking forward to it

I kinda feel the same as when I got my life long non-drinking friend to finally start drinkiing whiskey with me: happy, but kind of ashamed at the same time.

lol Pete… it’s alright brother, I will survive! I will probably be inundating you and other geard lifters on this site for advice and procedures… so be patient and gentle with me

You’re looking stronger then ever. You getting killed with snow as bad as we are?? Another 1 to 2 feet coming today and tomorrow here.

Thanks Eco… i"m tryin’ brother, gotta catch up to you!

Yeah, we just started this morning with the snow, supposed to be nasty… and I have to work tonight too… yay… 1 hour commute one way, and that is with pristine conditions, so should be interesting… in the mean time, bench day!

Bunny, why the to failure stuff? Why I am asking is that after you go heavy your body adapts to a lighter weight and no matter how many reps, it is the last weight that the CNS remembers. It is better IMHO to just do the heavy stuff and have a day for light stuff. This might only be my body and recovery, seeing as I have much more height and bodyweight than yourself.

I really like those raw goals by the way, and if you are healthy, quite realistic. After I saw you pull at Belle River I knew you were one strong SOB.

BB

I’m excited you’re going to experiment with the gear.

Just gotta add that I tore my cuff while in a shirt. So the argument that gear protects the shoulders doesn’t hold water with me. Good bench form protects the shoulders, along with preventive maintenance on the supporting structural components.

Catch me?? I think its the other way around. I’m down around 260 lbs and weak as hell. I’m looking at your numbers getting jealous.

[quote]Big Bencher wrote:

You’re much bigger then Bunny?? You must be seven feet tall and 350 lbs.

Hey BB!
How you doing? Is that true about the CNS stuff… remembering and adapting to the last weight used? I did not know that… or are you just pulling my leg? I am gonna have to research that. The reason why I do that (too failure) is that I read somewhere that flushing the muscle with blood after a heavy work assists in recovery, and also works the different muscle twitch fibres, red vs white(slow vs fast). And thanks for the vote of confidence regarding the raw goals buddy… working my way there… bench is my nemesis though, not moving near as fast as other stuff…

Hey KP!
I am excited too, hopefully it works for me… and my buddy just dropped off the squat suit last night… it is an “Inzer” size 38… have yet to try it on yet… I am debating whether to use it on my next squat session, or wait until the next wave 5/3/1… and thanks for the info regarding the injury you suffered with the bench shirt, I will remember to be careful even though wearing one.

Eco!!
I have been watching your numbers brother, you are still stupid strong brother! I am sitting at about 275 bodyweight right now… I will have to drop to 264 lbs seeing as they have changed the weight divisions in the IPF… or throw it all in the pot and try to get over 300 pounds and compete SH… which I would rather not seeing as I still have to function in everyday and work activities And as for BB… he… is… a… MONSTER!! He has a got a heart and a smile 3 times the size of a normal man, and can illuminate an entire room with just a his presence… he is a giant, trust me.

We are gettin hammered with snow… as is the rest of the entire east coast of North America it would appear. Just finished shoveling my and 3 other driveways… that will be my GPP for the day. Did bench yesterday, I will post it after this entry…

Play safe everyone

We’re all stuck at home today with a snow day like just about the rest of Ontario so I’m catching up on some stuff. I was actually a good girl today and sat at the kitchen table doing work I’d brought home.

Who’s loaning you the suit? What kind of Inzer is it? I’m totally a Titan girl myself. I can’t wait to see how you make out in it. We are really going to need videos. Just keep in mind the twinkie in a condom analogy.

Thanks again for your help at the meet. Maybe next time BB will actually let you take my bench shirt off for me. He really wasn’t buying into that this time.
